The optometrist I go to, said to use Lidcare. They are individual moist towelettes which specifically cleanse the eye lids and lashes thoroughly of eye makeup. I always double cleanse. First the lidcare and than I use a facial cleanser.

I use Yes Make Up Removing Wipes on my eyelids and haven't had any issues, same with the Aveeno brand. I wouldn't trust myself with soap I would get it in my eyes every single time.

I would not use soap or anything harsh on the skin around the eye as I think it dries the skin out and over time will age it worse than it would be without using soap. I have always used a gentle eye makeup remover. Currently using Garnier Skinactives Micellar water (the pink one) which seems to work well.

I use my Monsia cleanser and follow it with jojoba oil around my eyes if I have been wearing eye shadow/mascara that day.

I would use my normal face cleanser, not an actual soap that would burn the eyes. If it doesn't get everything off you could also clean with some coconut oil.

I use Bifesta Eye Makeup Remover followed by Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil. Then I do a second cleanse with a gentle foaming or cream cleanser and also use it on my eyes. No problem.

I only use cleansing oil on my eyes. Otherwise I use micellelar water to remove makeup and then rinse with water.

No. I am baffled how this question has come about in the 21 Century originated from an inhabitant of North America.

The only exception would be if there were no other available options. But how could that be possibly possible in North America? In the 21 Century...
