I need some help fitting prevage (if I can my hands on it) with my skin care routine thins summer. I'm going to Greece and my melasma-prone skin needs all the protecttion it can get. I still have remnants from last year's trip. Option to stay out the sun not possible-2 kids who HAVE to go to the beach every day.I'll return to my alphaderma in the fall, but summer I need all the anti-oxidant protection + LaRoche Posay SPF 200 I can get
If I use c& e (ferulic not available at EDS yet) in the morning, can I use prevage at night? Can I then use active serum + hydracool -IS Clinical (it gets really hot-need light cooling products) over it? Katee, jump in here any time. I can't see how you can use both c&e and prevage at the same time in the morning under sunblock without your face sliding off.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks |

Marina, not Katee -
But when I asked the skin care specialist at skinterra.com if I could use the Prevage (just got it on e-bay for $86.95. I think that was a good deal, not sure!) in conjunction with the ISClinical Super Serum, they said yes. Use the Serum in the morning, followed by Hydra-cool drops, and Prevage in the evening. They explained to me that by the answers I gave on the form that they had me fill out, that the active serum may be too harsh for my skin. I guess I'll just continue to use Epidermx for exfoliation, tho I would have loved to try the Active Serum. Maybe next time.
I too am melasma prone, still have two cheek blotches I'm dealing with that I hope the combo of Prevage and SuperSerum will help.
My purchasing these products by the way, is all Katee's fault!! Ha Ha!!! I hope they do for me what they do for her.
Hope that helps!

Hi Marina...
I use the IS Clinical Active Serum, followed by the HydraCool at night. Then, whatever eye products I'm using....
In the am, I use my Prevage first, then IS Clinical Super Serum, then the HydraCool....
I continue to get great results.
P.S. - do you think you have room in your suitcase for me???? I loveeeeeeee Greece. sigh |

Thanks, By the way, did you notice the super serum changing color (oxidizing). I recently said my cellex-c didn't change color. Well, granted, I only have one quarter left, but not only has it changed color, I pieces of stuff floating around the bottom!
Yes, Greece is wonderful. I come from an island where I'm related to practically everybody. I remember going there a lot in my early 20's, baking to a dark chocolate brown (which explains why I live on skin boards in my 40's), looking great w/no make-up, long curly hair (MUCH thicker back then), drinking ouzo and dancing zorba on the beach at midnight. Ah youth!! Gotta-go-off to find my bottle of paxil...Maybe I'll just visit that thread about being over 50 again... |

No problems with my SuperSerum darkening as yet.... I'm trying to remember when I start using the stuff... I think it hasn't been long enough to be able to say that the stuff DOESN'T grow darker....
(I was jealous before just at the mention of Greece, but the ISLANDS.....sighing wistfully) |
