I was wondering about primers. Can they be used without moisturizing? I am having a time finding a moisturizer that will not break me out.
Also, is there a real difference to the time the foundation lasts with it?
I usually get oily by mid day and would love to find a product that can help.
Any users out there? |

Hi there,
I have really really oily skin (usually shiny after 1-2 hours after application of make up) and this is the "primer" that I use (more like a "routine" really).
Wash face, tone (products of your choice but I currently use Yonka products).
Mix Decleor Hydra-Matte Regulating fluid with about 2 drops of Decleor Ylang Ylang oil. Yes, I know it's oil but you would NOT believe the oil-stopping qualities it has. Apply to face until absorbed and smooth.
Apply Jane Iredale Absence on especially oil-prone areas (T-zone); apply lightly to cheek and chin area (drier areas).
Apply foundation (again, your choice, but I use Jane Iredale).
The combination of the Hydra-Matte Regulating fluid with the Ylang Ylang oil and the Absence have really made a significant difference -- I can go about 6-7 hours before I remember that I should "blot" my skin -- but even when I go to blot, I check the mirror first and there is no "unruly" shine that I used to have! |
