You're suppose to cleanse, put toner on cotton ball or pad and wipe your face, and then put on repairing lotion.
I just use the cleanser and lotion. Don't personally like any kind of toner. |

When I used it morning and before bed, I massaged in a bit of cleanser avoiding my eyes, then rinsed. I then put a bit of toner on a cotton pad and gently wiped all over my face and let it air dry then apply moisturizer. I found the toner soothing and exfoliating, it was my fav Proactiv product. The lotion I couldn't use except to spot treat pimples. If I used it like a regular lotion (moisturizer) all over my face, it dried me out terribly. I actually don't think it is a moisturizer, more of a treatment lotion that would need a moisturizer over top, after it dries?
I hope this helps a bit. I stopped using it though because it dried me out so badly. I am now 34 and even though I have oily acne/blackhead prone skin, I think I need to stay away from the really drying products.
Good luck to you! |

I still use Proactiv a few days a month for pms breakouts. I only use it where needed and a little goes a long way. I was always too lazy to use the toner on my face although it has nice ingredients like glycolic acid and witch hazel. I have used it after shaving armpits or bikini line to prevent bumps. |
