Has anyone used the above?
I have done facial exercises for years and do my face, but my sons were on the machine and I heard this advert going on about it so it intrigued me a bit. He is a youngish man now (shhhh - don't tell) and the advert is definitely aimed at guys (it says about widening their jaw etc - which is what guys want not us women) but it got me thinking. The way it was playing I can see how if I was a guy (don't get me wrong - thank God I'm not) I would be fooled into thinking I need something like this.
I can't see how it would actually change jaw shape. I can see it would strengthen the masseter muscles but thats it. What are other peoples thoughts.
He was in facebook and this was one of those changing adverts that pop up, but figured it worth discussing here.

| So I keep seeing these adverts and its got me a bit intrigued although I can't find anyone who has actually used one (not even here on EDS - which is really surprising!). |

It looks to me like it could be related to orthotropics and things like "mewing" and chewing mastic gum. You're correct in that it usually applies to young men looking to improve their facial appearance by widening the jaw and bringing their maxilla forward. If you google Orthotropics and mewing (which is basically correct tongue position) you will see a lot of information about it on youtube and even what looks like some impressive results.
I don't really know how legit it is but its currently very popular with young men and some young women. |
