Okay this is sort of a general question - I've read the posts about the differences between glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and salicylic acid, but.... it seems to me that both the BP and SA do the same thing - kill surface bacteria... am I right? They both kill surface bacteria, and glycolic acid is for exfoliation/dead skin removal? If this is true, how would you use them in conjunction with each other (for acne)? Would the best idea be to use a glycolic cleanser, and then apply either BP/SA as a treatment? Would it be bad to use a glycolic cleanser, then glycolic toner/lotion, and then apply BP/SA? And, if you use a treatment only once per day, is it better to use in the morning or at night, seeing as most people wear makeup during the day, and may sleep with their face in the pillow at night?

Whew - that is like one very long big question! Not sure if anyone can help me with this one... basically I have 4 products I like (MD forte cleanser, mdforte lotion/toner, derm. anti-bacterial face wash, and DDF BP w/ tea tree oil) and am not sure how to best use these together to keep acne away!

Hi There, you might want to consult your dermatologist to find out what is the most effective way to apply the products your using. Everyone's skin is different, so your acne might be treated differently. I am a big fan of MD Forte eye cream. It is pretty reasonably priced and it won't clog your pores at all. It has retinol and glycolic acid to improve texture and speed up cellular rejuvenation. The whole line of MD Forte products is amazing.
