This is nuts it's April and snowing - I'm cursing as I sowed all my seeds last weekend
Gucci has it been snowing up your end???
Oh well I've had a good night, sat and watched a Stephen King film and the boyf put a plate of Jewish Bagels under my nose (You have not lived if you have not had Jewish Bagels!!!!!) So yes I ate about 3
Then got paranoid jumped on the scales fretted and cursed, sulked for half an hour, went for a wee and lost 3lbs
So what's the weather been up to where you are this weekend???
Oh bought the cat an igloo today - we got her to in by putting pieces of bagel inside!!! |

What's Jewish bagels?
We had a sudden thunderstorm out of absolutely no-where HUGE rain drops, hubby said he was driving along all of a sudden the heavens opened with snow, he was 20 miles away from me, no snow here!! We're in Sussex and I've just put a load of grass seeds down and planted a huge Camellia that doesn't like frost so lets hope we don't get freak weather again! |

Snow! I'm so jealous! Oh how I miss it.... the nice fresh fluffy snow, not the sludge that it eventually becomes of course
Wheather in Brisbane has been a bit weird. We've had a relatively mild summer but are now having ~30 C temperatures during the day and half that at night.
Maddy - my office at work is *freezing* cold so I went jumper shopping as soon as they showed up in the shops. Going again tomorrow I suspect |

SarahB with passover coming upon us you can get the really nice Matzo's from the supermarket and we have some Jewish friends who bring round Bagel's (I think they are blessed by the Rabbi) anyway we call them Jewish Bagel's they just seem to taste better than normal ones - sweeter and a lot more doughy. I never eat bread (no am not a low carber, it just never agrees with me)but always make an exception for this time of the year.
I am so jealous of 30c I am coming to live in Brisbane!!! Snow has melted noe and it will just rain all week!!!!
I will gladly swap all my jumpers for your bikinis |

Ha, you are not alone. It snowed here in Boston a few days ago. I rubbed my eyes a few time, thinking the avocado oil has blurred my vision, and it made the *rain* seem FATTER. Turns out it was really snowing in the middle of freaking April |

I never knew there was a difference between "Jewish" and regular bagels! Maybe you mean Kosher??
Unfortunately all of the bagels are great where I live -- in NYC. Don't get me started on the pizza....Way too tempting! |

It's a deal then rosebud! I'll swap you one week of Brissy weather for one week of snow (but no rain please!)
Chimera - I think I had withdrawal symptoms after coming back from NY and not being able to get all the bagels with various types of cream cheeses I just can't find anything that comes close here |

I hope the second round of jumper shopping was good for you Mabsy.
Was really hot again here today. Is it global warming? The weather everywhere has gone crazy!
I have not yet seen snow. I think I would like it.
Bagel with various cream cheese sounds lovely too!

Sorry, I thought that was a universal term! A jumper is a sweater I guess, although I thought a sweater was a jumper with a zip or with buttons whereas a jumper is just a one piece "sweater" with no opening in the front. Does that make sense?
ps. Maddy jumper/sweater shopping was super productive, thanks |

MOT's and cars are the bane of my life - every year on my birthday, the car always braks down, I swear I'm jinxed - so I always get car parts!!!! Plus they are always bloody expensive ones.
I felt a right idiot today, I'd bought a load of plants at the weekend, so they were all drenched from the downpoors. Anyway after my dindins I rushed out and planted them, whilst tiny snow flakes were coming down - Titchmarsh 2nd next door kept watching and shaking his head. I just know they are going to die!!! I try to copy everything he does in the garden
I really, really, really want some sun |

Ah! I had no idea a 'jumper' was a sweater! Do you in England usually get snow at all in the winter or spring? I have this vision of England, where it's all misty, green and wet but I didn't think it ever snowed! |

For the past 2 years I think we have mainly had snow in January Febuary time - We always get snow up here in the north - it goes really deep as well. One year it was so deep we couldn't open the front door properly!!!!
Oh and it rains A LOT!!!
I love it when there has been a huge snowfall during the day and then we will take the dog out the fields at the back of the house at about 2am - it's fantastic when there is a full moon and the sky is clear - the reflection off the snow is lovely. It was like that end of Jan
It must be nothing compared to Canada though |

haha Misty Green and Wet!!! I love it...You forgot the winds, ice, snow, hailstone, gales etc!!!
Its weird it snowed so late this year, we do normally get a few weeks of sunny warm weather where we don't have to wear a coat!!!!!
Oh yes "Jumper" means something else in America doesnt it?...doesnt mean sweater.... |

I live in the south of England and although it tries to snow we never get enough to have any fun in. Normally it's just enough so it is slushy and dirty and horrible. I think it has been about 14 years since we had proper deep go out and play snow. I only know that because I have a video of Nat and her brothers playing in it. |

Yes, I'm thinking here it means a dress, quite plain, I can't even think of how to describe what I'm thinking of so I will look for a photo.
I need to visit England I think so I won't be so ignorant about the country. |
