I heard that Vitamin C and the Hydarting B-5 Gel is good for dehydrated skin but I was wondering if anyone know which brand would be better? They seem to have identical products and they are both pretty well-known. |

I've used both brands I do not have a preference. I use the skincueticals 20% serum and mix it with other preps. |

I've gotten samples of the cellex C but prefer the skinceuticals...it seems gentler on my sensitive skin |

Between those two I think I prefer the Skinceuticals as well. Mind you my fave is Vivier - feels much less drying on the skin. |

Of the two I think that the Skinceuticals is more gentle -- I agree with Mabsy though, you can't beat Vivier for gentleness! The Vivier C Serum 20 is unbelievably gentle on the skin!

Hi,
The founder of Cellex created Skinceuticals after some corporate fall out, so the products of each company are very similar, but I also think Skinceutical products are a superior quatity. joani |

The scientist behind it all is Dr. Mostafa Omar. PhD. He moved on to IS Clinical in 2003. |

Hi, I was actually thinking of Dr. Sheldon Pinnell. He is a dermatologist at Duke University:
This is from 1997:
Research at Duke University in North Carolina has found a way of putting Vitamin C, (L- ascorbic acid), into a skin lotion. The formulation may turn out to reverse some of the changes associated with sun damage and ageing, and it could be an effective sun protector. The person behind it all is Sheldon Pinnell, who's Professor of Dermatology at Duke.
When I lived in North Carolina he was my dermatologist.
