Hello
Can anyone tell me how to apply eye cream correctly without running any risk of stretching the fragile eye area skin, or sort of worsening or causing any fine lines or wrinkles around?
First: how do you define the eye "contour" area? does it include the eyelid at all? or just a circle tracing the eyebrow and under area of eyeball??
Second: get 2 different advices of the "finger movement" to apply the eye cream!
(1) Apply the eye cream ALWAYS from the inner (close to nose) towards the outer eye corner for both upper and lower lids.
(2) Start applying from the inner eye corner, thru the upper eyelid towards the outer eye corner, and then make a U-turn at the outer corner and sweep thru the lower eyelid towards the inner eye corner.
Which one is the RIGHT method??
Please help me out because I try to prevent any wrinkles or fine lines. Thanks§ |

I leave most of my eyelid alone, and just do under my eyes and under my brow. I have heard both methods too, and I kind of combine them. I think it is just important not to pull the skin, so I just pat in the cream, until it mostly absorbed...always using my ring finger. As I pat, I go back and forth, but I am really careful not to pull the skin either way. |

I agree with Faith. I leave my eye lid alone unless I'm using the Cellcosmet eye cream, in which case I just lightly pat the cream all over the eye area. A lot of eye creams will make your eyelids puffy in the morning if you apply cream to there. I usually start from the inner corner but have heard instructions that start from inner and also outer. |

I believe its a personal choice how you want to apply eye cream. I swirl my middle finger all around the eye area and I go right up to the lash line. I use the middle finger because it feels most comfortable. Its whatever works for you. |

Thanks everybody!
Well, probably the inner or outer story isn't that important as long as I simply pat the eye cream ultra-lightly on my skin
Good to know about that puffy stuff, Mabsy. I will try to avoid the eyelid then |
