Does any one have tried http://superwhiteningpills.co.nr
or http//www.asianwhiteskin.com
or skinbleaching.net? |

I take L-Glutithione but just get it at my local health food store. For me it's worked great for my melasma. It was about $35.00 (US) and I do take around 500-1000 mg a day. Didn't make sense to me to purchase same stuff I can get in store, pay shipping and wait around for delivery. |

Hi Everyone
I've been using L-glutathion now for little over a week. I'm curious if it's actually going to work? Or if I just wasted my money. I've been taking 2 500mgs 3 x times a day. There's no directions on how to take them, so it's effective. And I'm curious if there's other products I can incorporate into my regime. |

Have you thought about using Lumitone? It was explained to me that it works by using natural ingredients rather than bleaching...
I have not tried straight Lumitone but I did purchase a face cream that has Lumitone in it and it does seem to be slowly evening out my skin tone. |

Hi I got L-gluta also from Health food store. It didn't make to purchase unbranded ones. Also about 1000 a day plus Alpha Lipoic and Vitamin C. I took it just to see it's effects on my skin, and I must say it cleared up my skin, and gave me a "glow". I had a tan this summer, and it was golden.
I have reduced the dosage since I got the smoothness I want, and slowly I want to not take anymore I think I get enough glow from all the great products here anyways, and Gluta costs quite a lot as well. And I take too much vitamins already.
But incase anyone is interested, it does work!! |

Jozie,
Do you have melasma?
I will try L-glutathione, Alpha Lipoic, and Vitamin C to see if they will clear my melasma.

Hello Rose,
Nope I don't have melasma My derm just prescribed it to me to clear my complexion...
Dosage is:
500 L Gluta
60 Alpha Lipoic Acid
1000 Vitamin C
*need to double the vitamin C dosage
If it weren't soo pricey and tedious to take daily, I'd continue with it, but it's pretty expensive here in Manila since they all come from GNC store(U.S.)
During my research on this, they said MSM helps with melasma... but glutathione also came up a lot.. HTH |

I have dermal melasma. It started with the dreaded upper lip hyperpigmentation that looked like a mustache (lovely!). Luckily I found a website and book by Vanessa Wild discussing MSM. I took mega doses of OptiMSM and it literally broke up and disappeared after a few months.
I've since developed a couple of smudges on the sides of my mouth which are a bit more stubborn. The MSM has helped but it's taking longer. I've added the l-glutathione, zinc, manganese, vitamin C, and alpha lipoic acid, but have been cutting back on those because that's just way too much to swallow in one day.
I've also tried everything available topically. The Lumitone might be good for an overall glow, but pretty much does nothing for Melasma. |

Thank you both for you reply. I took mega doses of MSM a little bit more than a year ago when it was discussed in this forum, but it worked very slowly and I felt nauseating by taking too much MSM. The little result that I have seen before is all gone now. I have stopped taking it completely. I am still searching for other methods. The cosmetic coordinator in my dermatologist's office swears that photorejuvenation works. I had one treatment before. It cost 500 dollars, but did not see any result at all. I didn't do a thing to me. There was no redness or anything after the treatment. It was too costly, so I am looking for other alternatives. I will give glutathione, lipoic acid, and vit c a try. |
