Anyone ever buy stuff from the shopping channel? ( http://www.theshoppingchannel.com/department_home.asp)
I made my first purchase today, the smashbox show stopper...I've tried the brow tech wax and their blush and liked both so I thought I'd give this a shot.
$60 for:
• 1 Brow Tech with Brush (Choice Of: Auburn, Blonde, Brunette or Taupe) **I got taupe**
• 2 Eye Shadow Duo (Contour and Blend)
• 1 Focal Point Black Mascara
• 1 Layer Lash Primer
• 1 Transparencies Smashing Flaunt
• 1 Lipstick (Shade)
• 1 Lip Pencil Smashing Define
• 2 Lip Gloss Enhance and Illuminate
• 2 PVC Pouches with Photo Images
I also ordered the professional cream eyeliner pallet. I read good and bad reviews on makeup alley but wanted to give it a try. I'm so sick of pencils and can't work liquid worth a damn.
Anyone else order this?? |

Hi Lianne - we've been watching the same show
I had to control myself as I've just recently got a shipment of BE products, so I'm well taken care of for awhile. But I have ordered their Brow Tech in the past in Taupe. As a dark blonde I really should have ordered Blonde. I do like the product as it does enhance my skimpy brows (although I have to apply it lightly)

I am dark blonde/light brown and had no idea so I got the taupe. my brows are dark brown, so the blonde may have looked funny.
I was debating ordereding some more jane iredale the last couple weeks and then I saw on their site the picture of the show stopper so I held off and decided on it instead. If nothing else I paid what $15 more than if I'd just gotten the brow tech and brush...and I'm sure I'll like the gloss. I heard such good stuff about it!! |

Let's know how that gloss turned out Lianne, it sure looked good on the models! I should have mentioned, that although I'm dark blonde, my brows are very fair - invisible without makeup, so the taupe was a tad on the dark side for me. It should be perfect on you though since your brows are dark brown

I'll definitely let you know how it works out. I sure liked the looks of that clearish gloss when they put it over the berry coloured one.... |

That looks a great deal. That looks like a tsv we had in the UK. Brow tech really 'sets' your look. In fact I don't think I've had a bad product from smashbox |

I love the eyeliner, its so easy to apply. Im as blind as a bat without my glasses and using a pencil or liquid was a complete no no for me. with smashbox I can just press it on and still get a good result as the brush is thin and stiff |

I hope it's that easy for me suki! I always find pencils go on too thick, or way too thin and dark if I have it really sharp.
The kit seems to have some nice colours in it...and comes with a mini brush. |

Hi Lianne - I ordered it too - what a fabulous deal - it was an absolute no-brainer for me! I have the taupe brow tech - and if you are blondish to light brown haired with brownish brows then you'll love the taupe! The glosses are *great* no taste, no smell and no gloppiness!

Cool!
Have you ordered from them before? I can just see the expression on my parents face when the box comes and sees that I ordered something from the shopping channel.... They'll think I'm completely addicted to shopping. |

Hey,
Just wanted to let everyone know I got this in the mail today.
I like all of it except for the transparency (cream blush). It's really pink! I also am useless at putting it on. Maybe I'll try it as a lipstick!
You girls were right about the glosses, they are ABSOLUTELY amazing! No stick, no smell, just beautiful shiny colour!!!
How'd it work for you Pudoodles?? |

Hi Lianne! I was so disappointed in the mascara!....by the end of the day I had colour transfer below my lower lashes (sigh) which is too bad cuz I was really looking forward to trying it - I was expecting it to be fabulous - it's almost as though it doesn't dry completely or something... I didn't think the transparency pink stuff was any big deal either....just trendy and kind of silly....and I'm *so* with you on the glosses - they're fab! And maybe I'm a bit of a goofball but I LOVE the make-up bags!!

I've only had the mascara on since i got home from school....2 maybe 3 hours. I liked how it went on...I hope it stays on!
You can probably use the primer with whatever other mascaras you use.
I put on that teal coloured eyeshadow with the lava (grey with blue sparkly flecks) cream eyeliner from the other kit I got and it looks GREAT!! I'll definitely be ordering that eyeliner cuz it'll go will with pinks, purples, greens...everything. |

Pudoodles,
I just checked and the kit is sold out now...the colours in it are "Lava", "Midnight Green", "Picasso", "Deep Bronze", "Midnight Purple", "Cameo", "Midnight Brown", "Putty", "Caviar", and "Thunder"
I don't see myself using the green, blue or purple...but hey, you never know. I wasn't sure which colour to get, but I know it'll be the full size lava, and maybe the thunder too =) |

I like the pink highlighter I use it higher on the cheek than regular blusher so it gives a nice sheen, I think the trick is to use only a tiny amount or you will end up with bright pink cheeks |

I've never used a product like it before so it's probably application problems! (BTW, looked ok as a lip colour..just need a layer of balm or gloss with it)
In fact, I only started wearing blush a few months ago...
Where should I be putting it? |

I apply blush on the bottom of my cheek bone, all the way up. Suck in your cheeks, like a kissy fish, and apply to that area, as a general rule...but keep it away from or orbital bone area. |

Thanks faith! None of my friends seem to wear blush either...must be some mid 20s thing..
Pudoodles, I went to the gym today and had no problem with the mascara until I rinsed my face...I noticed after that I had a few smudges. |

Lucky you Lianne..(sigh)....I used the primer today with my MAC over it as you suggested and I had no problems with colour transfer - just great big fat lashes!

I never used to wear it either, but then I started to feel "flat" and like the dimension it gave to my face when I was wearing foundation. |
