My two biggest beauty bains are enlarged pores and crow's feet. I have tried many products and have only gotten minimal results. I know some products need to be used for months and months to get results (as my crow's feet didn't just magically appear overnight), but I was wondering if anyone has any tried and true remedies to alleviate either or both of these beauty faux pas. Expensive or inexpensive, professional or homemade...I welcome any and all recommendations that have continually worked for the beauty divas here on EDS!!! |

Enlarged pores: My best results have been from using Retin-A at night (alternating nights with 10% AHA serum) and vitamin C serum each AM. When blackheads etc are really stubborn, lately I have found that using salicylic acid mixed with glycerin really helps to clean them up. SA is a BHA (as opposed to AHA) and cleans pores from the inside out. I also regularly use Polishing Grains as a natural exfoliant to help keep pores clear. Empty, clean pores look smaller.
As for the crow's feet, my end-all be-all go-to product is Relax-A-Line. It's a wrinkle relaxer that uses acetyl hexapeptide to relax muscles so the lines start fading away. It has done wonders for my crow's feet. If you are super serious about completely erasing them, you could consider botox as well. |

The best thing I've found for my enlarged pores is Dr Hauschka cleansing cream and Dr Hauschka rejuvenating mask. I'm not sure if they actually reduce the size but they certainly clear the pores making them look smaller. |

I think Okusil in the Alphaderma line by Janson Beckett is awesome for the undereye area....including crow's feet. It is expensive, but I find that it works well and a little goes a long way.

Add Apple Cider Vinegar to your Toner, this worked wonders for my pores.
I also liked the Dr Hauschka rejuvenating mask and the Cleansing Cream. |

I have dramatically reduced my pores basically using the same routine as betterat40. I now use Torzac instead of Retin-A because it is supposed to be absorbed better. I also use the green tea/ACV toner every morning.
For crows feet I don't really know. The slight bagginess under my eyes is made better using a DMAE serum. I did not have luck with the peptide products under my eyes(all of those that claim to relax muscles). In fact I seem to have gotten more bagginess rather than less. Now I just use a vit C eye cream there and the DMAE. |

FYI - I think it’s pretty much impossible to shrink the actual size of your pores, but you can refine them so that they *look* smaller, just like Joom suggested.
To help reduce the size/appearance of your pores, you should try Dr. Hauschka Cleansing Cream. Just about everybody who has tried it is madly in love with this product. It helps suck the gunk out of your pores, thereby reducing their size because enlarged pores are mostly caused by debris clogging them. If there's no more gunk in your pores, then their size will be greatly reduced! If you are a do-it-yourselfer, you can find a recipe for a homemade version of Dr. H CC under the “~~~~~DIY Skincare Recipes~~~~~” sticky thread. |

Large pores were the one thing about my skin that drove me absolutely crazy...
Since adopting the IS Clinical regimen....Active Serum alternated with Firming Compound followed by HydraCool at nite and Super Serum followed by HydraCool in the am and my skin looks damn close to poreless for the first time in my life !

Don't have any solutions for the eye area, but I have enlarged pores as well, and have found MD Formulations' basic non-glycolic cleanser to be great!
I noticed major improvement in my skin's texture within a handful of days. My pores are now not as apparent & my skin tone is much more even when I use this regularly.
Thus far, I have only tried the non-glycolic cleanser, so perhaps the glycolic versions are even more effective? EDS sells this line... you could try a starter kit to sample a few different products. |

I don't know if this thread is any use, is about lines under eyes (I have crows feet too and found it helpful) http://www.essentialdayspa.com/forum/viewthread.php?tid=5884&highlight=
I bought an expensive serum which contains DMAE and Hyaluronic acid (HA was recommended in above thread as being beneficial) am waiting to receive a C serum - looking on the web perhaps I would've been better off buying DMAE & HA serums seperately rather than in one expensive one (think relax-a-line has HA and argyline (sp) in I'd like to try that next time)

I would suggest Okusil or some other Argireline product and also incorporating a vitamin C serum (and using sunblock!). |

WOW...you guys are awesome. For some reason I'm not receiving the "someone has replied to a forum subject" and so I had no idea I received any responses. Awesome suggestions, that I'll definitely have to look into!!! I am definitely a true blonde (kinda ) as I never saw the hommade recipe for Dr. H's cleansing cream and I know I've looked at that before. Thank you for all your suggestions!!! |

I'd like to know which brand you use as well, Sharky. I have been using Reviva brand that i get at the health food store, but I can't say I;ve seen any great results. |
