When I intially tried this, I found it a little too greasy and slippery for my taste. Tends to bleed a little and get onto your teeth.
But now that I am on Accutane, my lips are parched and I find it is the only thing that feels soothing. It does have a light sweet/berry scent to it. I got color #70, Fresh, which is a sheer rose-pink.
It advertises SPF 20, but it has octinoxate 7.5% (which I think is unstable as far as sunscreens go) and Titanium dioxide 1.0%. This is not acceptable sunscreen protection for lips, especially on Accutane, but since I am am hiding out inside anyways, and it's the only thing that helps my lips so far, I am using it till I find something better.
This might be acceptable for those who like a very slipppy/glossy feel, independent of the sunscreen issues. |

I just bought my second tube of this stuff. It doesn't seem to last long, but maybe that's becuase I apply it so often! This is the only thing that helps my lips so far and I have tried everyhting at the drugstore, literally. The second tube is a different color, Nude, and it is not quite as "wet" as the other one - not sure if this different consistency is from the different color or different batch. I will need to stock up in case they d/c the line! It is the only thing that has saved my dry lips. |
