I think the gourmet oils are a bit more oily than those specified for facial skin uses. I have combo to oily skin and wouldn't use the gourmet oils. |

I love rice bran oil and jojoba oil. Rice bran is my favorite for lightweight moisturizing. Perfect for skin that seems stressed. I use the jojoba when my skin seems "confused" re oily and flaky at the same time.
I also like rosehip oil for around my eyes. Very nice for that delicate skin. |

Is the Silkia Camelia Oil the best quality one you can buy? Did this cause breakouts for anyone? |

I use Silkia and no breakout, even though I'm acne prone. It's very smooth. I've tried 2 other brands which feel a bit sticky. |

Okay, don't laugh but my skin has a lot of black bruises from mosquito bites, so I did my own little experiment with what I have at home. I mixed vegetable glycerin, lavender oil and aloe vera. Not only the mosquitos avoided me today, my skin felt so smooth and smells so heavenly! |

Hi Togirl75
There is another, slightly more expensive Camellia oil called Camellia Seed oil. I remember discussing this before. Apparantly the texture is lighter so it absorbs more easily so it may be better for oilier skin or humid times of the year, but there aren't any other benefits for the skin over Silkia, which I actually find very good and reasonably priced, but I'm a different skin type to you.
Sassyred, a forum member sells it from her site. they also sell it somewhere else, but I can't remember where. Haven't tried it.

I love oils! Which seems weird since I have always had oily skin but since using oils, now I have nicely balanced clear skin.
Camellia, argan, rosehip and squalane for my face or body, just depending on what my skin feels like that day, and what I am using it for (makeup remover, cleanser, moisturizer, hair conditioner)
and emu for my so-dry legs and creaky knees, and for intensive night treatment on my hands |

Rosehip oil is great for around the eyes--Living Nature (from NZ) makes a great EPO/Rosehip eye oil.
And emu oil rocks!
I also love Osea's corrective and hydrating oil blends--they are aromatherapeutic and I always carry them with me for a double dose of pick me up and moisturizing/blemish relief. |

oh, and i heard that emu oil is one of the only oils scientifically 'proven' to penetrate the first few dermal layers of the skin--anyone know anything about this? It certainly plumps up my fine lines and gives me a glow, and is not too oily on the skin, but one can never be sure if this is just the effect of the oil or actual dermal penetration.
now if someone would make a HA-avocado-emu-Evening Primrose oil serum I would certainly buy it!
Not sure if it is possible. |

Well I sell several kinds of oils...and I know that the argan culinary variety is made from the roasted nuts, as opposed to the cold-pressed cosmetic grade...therefore does not have the same benefits, as they are destroyed on the roasting process. |

I am hoping to buy some of this in the future. I also love rosehip seed oil. |
