I have a tonne of fine, dry, highlighted, blonde hair on my head. Between Casper (white fur) and my oodles of blonde hair, it is debatable who sheds more in my apartment: myself or the cat!
I have used many expensive shampoos, and am very picky about what I buy. Until the past few years, I would only use salon-bought shampoo & conditioner. My curiousity and budget have lead me to try a couple of drugstore brands, and I've been using Pantene products. However, I have now found an even less expensive brand, which has done wonders for my hair.
Suave Pro-Vitamin B-5, for Colored Hair. I use the shampoo and conditioner (not 2-in-1), and my hairdresser was in awe when she highlighted my hair last week. "Your hair is so soft, and I can't believe how healthy it is!" she exclaimed. My hair is getting longer (past my shoulders), and it used to be very prone to breakage. The white-blonde highlights, and fine textured hair were not conducive to one another. Y'know what? Only my ends were weak this time, and this was merely due to the age of my hair. I only needed a trim.
Yes, ladies, cheap-ola Suave, has done wonders with my hair, and my hairdresser could not believe how gorgeous my hair is, when I admitted to using this low-end, Pantene copy-cat product. Most hiardressers wince when they think of Pantene or other drugstore brands.
So ... Suave Pro-Vitamin B-5 is it for me. Goodie! It's on-sale at Shoppers Drugmart this week, $1.99 per bottle. I have a coupon too: Buy two, and get a dollar off. A shampoo and a conditioner, for $3. My kind of deal! |

Hmmmm was going to try Terax products next but for $1.99 better to try this. For that price I can throw it out if I hate it
My hair sounds exactly like yours...lots of highlights and getting longer, hope it works for me too
Thanks |

Which ones do you have? I went to Shopper's but I wasn't sure which one to buy. Is it in a black bottle?
Thanks! |

No. Not the black-packaged "Professionals" line. I am using the Provitamin B-5 Shampoo & Conditioner for Coloured Hair. Just bought new bottles at Shoppers yesterday. Right now, I am using up the Dry/Damaged 2-in-One B-5 shampoo from Suave, and following with the B-5 Colour Care Conditioner. I am trying the Colour Care B-5 Shampoo tomorrow, to see which is better for my hair: this or sticking to the 2-in-1, followed by the conditioner. |

Yeah, for a daily or regular conditioner, you can't beat the bargain for the Suave product. Save your Crema for deep conditioning treatments.
Hey, if you're looking for bargains, I am the person to ask. I love a good bargain! In fact, I am now addicted to shopping at the Salvation Army for household stuff! You wouldn't believe how much great stuff I've found. Cheap, and the money goes to charity. This is all good. |

Yeah, I am all about finding bargains. I think half my wardrobe is from Old Navy or similar cheapy stores....not that I look cheap though
I have only used the Sauve once (had to hunt it down at like 3 different Shopper's, why can't they all carry the same stuff ) but so far so good |
