Hi everyone. Great site by the way. Any who, all this skin stuff has given me a headach How on earth do you choose? Especially when it's not cheap? At any rate. I have some hyperpigmentation going on above my lip and brow. I was given hydroquinone 4% I guess it's doing ok, but the MINUTE I'm outside, it gets darker, EVEN with sunblock. I take a step foward to go back. I would like to use a product on my entire face as well, as I have some uneven pigmentation going on that is DRIVING me mad:mad: I will not put this script strength on my entire face, as it's not healthy, nor safe, only spot treat, but would like to use something that CAN be used on entire face, with results, that's most important, safe to use. . I have sensitive acne prone skin as well. Any reco's on something that will WORK and that is SAFE? I don't want loss of pigmentation which can happen with script strenghth. Also, I'm not a product person. Simplicity has to rule my life;) As of now, I use a wash, sunblock, and night cream (does nothing) that is it. I thought about adding a fourth product, aside from the bleaching cream I want to try, and am interested in a vitamin C. I've tried before, but ALL sting my face, feel HEAVY, and sticky. Could someone recommend two great products for me? (face bleaching for hyperpigmentation, safe for ENTIRE face) and a C to help boost clarity as I NEED some BAD? Thank you all so much for your help. I'd appreciate it;)

As for the skin lightening creams, their are SO many on this website, as far as brands are concerned. How do I know which brand is EFFECTIVE? Anyone use one of the specific brands here? (perhaps one that caters to oily/acne prone skin? |

Hey LJ74,
Couldn't agree more about this being a great site! I can't comment about the hyperpigmenation but I have read many many posts, be patient people will start to comment! As for the Vit C, I use Skincueticals Primacy c+e and love it. It does sting on areas that may be open, for example a pimple/bl,white head that was played with:P but it doesn't stay with you. It is also a bit sticky but after a very short period that too gets better. (Maybe 5-10 mins?) Another recommendation is to email the spa directly and ask specific questions (you might feel better about giving a bit more personal info too). I have done that on a number of occasions and have always been better off and closer to making a decision. Unfortunately not all products carry samples so you can't try before you buy but I would think your bleaching/whitening creams would. You didn't mention your age bracket, but I got the impression you felt like you wanted to invest more quality into your skin. I started getting serious about skin care in my late 20's early 30's, and haven't skipped a day and purchase just quality products since 35ish (and that was 10 years ago!) The feedback I get on my skin always makes me feel good....
Let us know how you make out. Hang in there, you will find something, we all always do. |

Hi LJ,
Have you considered Skinceuticals Phyto+? It doesn't contain any skin lightening chemicals and people have had good results with it. I haven't used it myself but I remember reading some reviews of it. If you do a search of the product reviews forum here then you should be able to find a few reviews.
HTH.

Yes, I have read great reviews on Cellex and even more on EmerginC (want to try that one soon Also, peter thomas roth had great reviews as well. I'll have to narrow it down from there I guess. As for C products, from what I've read, I think I'd go for the Emergin. I would like to try them ALL, why does there have to be so darn many competitors Overwhelming is the only thing that comes to my head. It's funny, because there are so many, I think too much, therefore never buying ANYTHING...LOL Thanks all again |
