pm: dermalogica special cleansing gel, dermalogica microfoliant, dermalogica multi- active toner, LRP active C
as needed: dermalogica gentle cream exfoliant

hiya
is this the first time you've had these outbreaks?
i usually get a lot on my cheekbones area if i don't wash properly or if i don't eat well..
maybe try a clay mask mixed with hydrosol to draw the blackheads out, but may cause some spots or whiteheads few days later, and gently exfoliate day after to scrub the dead skin.
and i don't know if you can spare to not use any moisturiser at night, but it is good to avoid any products after a clay mask as well.
but also could be some sort of stress/diet cause, and not necessarily from skincare products.
hope this helps |

Have you changed a haircare product lately? I find a lot of products in my hair break me out if I am not washing them out thoroughly enough. |

Where blackheads are something new for you try taking away any new product you recently started to use one by one. Possibly could be your SPF I have a really hard time finding an SPF that allows my skin to breath properly (especially in this hot weather). As if late I am using Neutrogena Oil Free Facial SPF 15. |

Ok, thanks guys....looks like I have to go back to square one and try and figure out what this is caused by
Don't think it is shampoo, only thing I can think of is I started using a new fabric sheet in the dryer...could that be the cause |

As for blackheads being "new" to me, I only meant new to that area....if only I had the pleasure of not having blackheads before |

Is the mineral make-up new? Which one are you using? Seems like there was an ingredient in some brands that aggravated the skin. Cannot remember what it was now. I cannot use them. Make me look old and cakey.
BUT, salicylic acid is great for removing blackheads. You can get nice SA products from cosmeticscop.com or just look for a 2% lotion at the drugstore. Clean and clear, Neutrogena, etc. all have 2% formulas available. You can also get stronger ones at platinumskincare.com and make your own by buying it plus a base from thepersonalformulator.com. |

it's bismuth in MMU's that cause some people zits and blackheads. |

Make your own salicyic acid mask at home by dissolving 2-3 plain, uncoated aspirin in a teaspoon of water (may substitute honey and/or aloe vera gel in lieu of water) and rub it over your face. Leave on 10-15 minutes, then moisten fingertips and lightly massage face, re-wetting fingertips frequently. Rinse face with luke warm water. Repeat 2-3 times per week. If desired, followup with Apple Cider Vinegar toner. |

Thanks, I will have to give that a try.
I also used Dermalogica Gentle Cream exfoliant and that seemed to clear them out....now I just have to keep them from coming back |

I passed your two receipts on to my daughter today. She fights what she calls "under grounders" and large pores. Fingers crossed Before she got married she spent a small fortune on her skin. With two babies and a new home her priorities have changed. |
