Hey mabsy and all,
Have been doing lots of research over the last few weeks on skincare, for my mum and myself - thanks to all for your replies...
Anyway, as I was browsing this forum, I noticed that you particularly liked the cellcosmet eye cream and the valmont renewing mask (amongst others...HOW DO YOU AFFORD IT ALL??? . Anyway, some of these posts were a little while ago, and I wanted to know if these two are still your favs in their class, would you suggest anything else instead that you now use in favour of these two products?
Not that I am going to copy , just wondered what your thoughts are these days..
Thanks...

How do I afford it? Let's just say that I've been saving to buy a house for ages and have not yet saved enough to buy one. I also no longer add up what I spend on skincare and perfume because the total is just too shocking and makes me feel rather guilty. I've actually been controlling things a lot better recently but still can't really go a month without buying anything new to try
The Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream is definitely still at the top of my list. The Valmont Renewing Pack is as well but I tend to use this as a special treat rather than on a regular basis. There are a few masks that give similar results to the Renewing Pack even though they may not feel as refreshing on the skin. I had really good results from Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Mask, Dr Hauschka Rejuvenating Mask and also Eminence Organics Orange and Pumpkin mask (although that one stung).
Other things I still swear by are Dr Hauschka Cleansing Cream, Dermalogica Microfoliant and Decleor Essential Balm, among others. Of course, I also use a vitamin C serum daily (Vivier and JB C&C). I'm also pretty sure that I will be buying the Cellcosmet Exfoliator soon
Btw, I'll mention this since you're an Aussie and I just saw your other post about SPF. Have you tried Kosmea Moisturising Lotion SPF30+? It's an Australian brand that makes natural skincare. It's probably still the best SPF moisturiser I have tried. They're available at health food shops here and you can get a set of samples if you email the company. |

Hey Mabsy,
Thanks for that. I have been very faithful to my current sunscreen, I love it and every time I don't use it I get burnt. I wouldn't have shopped around, it was just that I got these samples, and I thought "why not". I will repurchase my zinc when I need to...it is by far the greatest for me.
Thanks... |

I forgot to add that I found Orlane Morning Recovery Concentrate to be a good alternative to Valmont as well. Again, good results minus the nice refreshing feel. |
