I've heard so many nice things about it, but I'm sceptical because of the consistency....Apparently, it's very good for use on dry skin at night.

This has the consistancy of lip balm, it was way too heavy for my oily skin so I do actually use it as a lip balm. I think you would be ok with it on dry skin, fantastic as a night blam, not so sure about for during the day due to the texture.
No good if you want to wear any make-up over the top.

I've used this for a few months. I agree with rosebud, definitely not for use under makeup! I did like the effect it had on my lashes though -- made them look nice and plump. I discontinued use after it started irritating my lids due to (I'm pretty sure) contamination of the pot.

do you guys just rub it into the lashes like that?

i ordered a pot and i do find it doesnt soak in too well.. i've been secretly using it as a lip balm to try and get rid of it :P

doesn't do anything too spectacular, but when i have dark circles i gently press a little under my eyes like the DH lady told me, at night time, and they go away pretty well the next day.

I just slathered it all over my entire eye area. It doesn't sink in!!!! My eyes remained oily looking all day unless I rubbed a bit off -- that was definitely a problem, but at least I knew my eyes were being protected....I guess...
