My full eyebrows have always been very, very light. So last night while I was tinting my eyelashes with 1000 hour tint (brown), I decided to darken by eyebrows. Big, big mistake. Seriously, they look like Groucho's eyebrows.(anyone have a cigar?)
I put lemon juice on them then sat in the sun. No results. Then I put hydrogen peroxide on them and sat in the sun. No results. What else can I do to lighten them? I am desperate! |

you can try to thin the eyebrows out and then use bleaching cream - the stuff used on upperlip hairs. be careful to not over-treat the area in case you end up with hair loss or skin irritation.

The first thing that came to my was bleaching cream too. We know that it is safe to use on facial hair, just be careful not to get it in your eyes.
As a last resort, I believe that some salons also dye eyebrows when people dramatically change their hair color.
Good luck and let us know what finally works! |

Try scrubbing with dishwashing liquid or with Prell shampoo. Just be careful not to get any in your eyes. |

Thank you all for your suggestions. I tried dying them a lighter color but that didn't work. I tried slathering Vit C serum on them since it's what turned them so light to begin with - no luck Salons in Massachusetts are not allowed to dye eyebrows so I may take a trip to a New Hampshire salon, but only after I try facial hair bleaching cream tonight. Once again, you ladies are the best!!! |

A second vote for washing them (carefully!) with the Prell. Dishwasher detergent also is a bleach ... but so sooooooo very careful near your eyes! |
