Hi

I think I am going to try this. Is this an alternative to Skinceuticals C + E?

Do you need Relax-a-line if you use this?

How would I use this in my routine?

Many thanks

I am trying out this one myself...actually the entire line of products; Prep, C&C, Okusil, then ADCE in that order on my skin. So far so good, my skin does look amazing.

If you just want to sample it, there is a 5 day sample kit you can buy for about $20...now, EDS gives you one for FREE if you order any alphaderma product, so I got the cleansing-milk for $20 and the sample-kit (worth $20) for free Very Happy

I've been using the cleansing cream, the toner, the CE and the Okusil....and I couldn't be happier. I'm going to put my other skincare items up for swap!! If my husband compliments me one more time---then I'm going to faint!! This is the HG system for me!!

Hello Happyhippie,

You have such great reviews for the Alpha Derm skin care line. Do you think someone with sensitive/oily, acne prone skin (small ones) would benefit from the products. My acne is under control yet I am always afraid to aggravate it.

I also tried your matte look and it seeps to work.

Thanks for your advice.

This is not an alternative to the Skinceuticals C+E. The Alphaderma does have some vit C in it but I would recommend that you use a separate serum with a higher concentration (ADCE has 5% if I recall correctly). In my opinion, this is an alternative to Relax-a-line, which is also based on argireline. You'd only need to use either the Relax-a-line or the Alphaderma CE if you end up getting both.

Hi Feliz,

Yes, I have (had) oily skin myself... it's pretty close to perfect at the moment though Very Happy ... I think my skin looks better now then 10 years ago!

I really like the ADCE with the Prepp and C&C serum...so I suggest getting the sample pack to see how you like it. If you want a cheaper alternative, I reallly recommend using the Bioelements Quick Refiner... it will also give you results overnight and is excellent if your skin breaks out Very Happy

I would consider the Quick Refiner (still on my list of things to try Smile) to be an addition to this regime, not really a substitution - at least not if your main concern is frown lines. With any skincare regime, it's important (IMO) to have a good exfoliator so that you're removing the dead skin cells and thus increasing product effectiveness. Granted, the Quick Refiner by itself should give you a smoother and brighter skin (due to the exfoliation).

Hi Mabsy,

I saw your testimonial on the Alpha Derma skin care site. I would like to know if you have tried the ADCE and what you think of it???

I recently ordered the ADCE and C&C Facial Serum to be delivered to EDS - to pick up.

I am thinking for past acne scarring and to start on an anti aging skin program (Iam 31 and having acne does cause the skin to age faster due to the damage done)
I have the Skin Renewal Booster from Dermalogica and really like that to exfoliate my skin rather than the quick refiner from BioE.

Thank you,

You seem to have tried so many producds.

Hi Feliz, just wanted to add that I agree with Mabsy... so if you got the ADCE & C&C, that's great! Try to get them to send/give you a sample of the Alphaderma Prep too (it goes on first, then C&C, then last ADCE) Very Happy

Hi Feliz - Unless there is something that I don't know about, the testimonial on the Alphaderma site is not likely to be mine. I post my reviews on EDS and these days don't find much time to post them in other places. I have used Alphaderma CE but I am not the best example of its results. I used it first and then got my mum onto it and she has seen significant improvements in skin texture, firmness and the frown lines. I don't have any wrinkles as yet (fingers crossed!) so I was using Alphaderma CE as a preventative measure (meaning I can't speak for its visible result except for what I see on my mum who is in her mid fifties). Personally I think it's a good anti-aging product, especially when combined with a vit C serum, but I am not sure if it will do much for your acne scars. The vit C content in the ADCE and also the serum should help you fade those if you also use a good exfoliator.

I'm glad you're liking the skin renewal booster. I've tried this before (and liked it too if I recall correnctly) but I can't remember what the concentration of AHAs in it is... Does anybody know? I'm just thinking that if it's not around the 7-10% mark then you might also benefit from doing one manual exfoliation (or additional exfoliation of some sort) a week to help things along. Only you know how well your skin is responding to the treatment though so you will be able to tell if you need more or less.

Please let us know how you go with the new regime! Also, I'm assuming that you are acne prone given your scars. I would suggest that you introduce these new products one by one and give your skin some time to adapt to these.

Hi, you all. IŽd like to know how long it took for you to notice a real difference in your skin after you started using ADCE. I've been using a skin treatment that has the same actives for two weeks and I did see some difference, but when I laugh a lot during the day, the lines under my eyes are more evident at night. In the morning they aren't so visible. I have Argireline in my cream; isn't it supposed to be relaxing the muscles and diminishing the mechanisms of line formation? Or do you think I'm too anxious and it takes longer than two weeks to work? PLEASE HELP ME OUT!

Hi Mabsy,

Thank you for the reply, I do not have wrinkles per say, a few very fine lines (between the eyes). I saw the testimonial on the Alpha Derma web site and it was taken from the essential day spa forum. You should look to see if it is from you or not.

Thank you again,

Feliz

Well I'll be! You're right! It's my EDS review of the JB C&C serum! Thanks for letting me know Smile
