I had a Cellex-C serum before that had some tiny little floaty bits in it. I used it up and had no problems.

That can happen with higher concentration (~20%) C Serums that have low percentages of water in them. It is just that the L-ascorbic acid is reaching its saturation point in that solution & is beginning to precipitate out of the solution. It's not ideal in a R&D sense, but it it still fine to use. If you feel a grit on your skin when you apply it, just lightly mist your face with either water of a face spritz & the remaining crystals should dissolve wih no problem.

Totally agree with Darren. It's probably just undissolved C floating around in there.

Can you describe a little better what these "thingys" look like? Are they crystalline, or are they "goopey" looking. Or are they fuzzy? What color & shape are they?

Hmmmm...if they are dark (black/gray), could be bacteria. Contact the company & return it.

I don't know of any drug tore brands of vitamin c serums that are worth buying. You may need to go to a skin centre or day spa in your area if you want to see & read the bottle first.

A lot us make our own, see the DYI thread/sticky at the top.

http://www.psfskincare.com/ and http://www.cellularskinrx.com/ sell great vit c serums (from what I've heard) at very, very reasonable prices.

I have only used the psf 12% Vit C serum, and I really, really like it. After trying various skin products out, and fairly intensely in the last three or four months (I am highly impatient and like to see results very quickly), I would RAVE about this product - the results were really fast and soooo noticeable - reduced pore size, clearer, smoother skin and a little radiance to boot. Very Happy It is now a DEFINATE staple in my daily routine, and i wonder why i didn't try a Vit C earlier based on the same comments over and over on this very forum!

I don't know how it compares to other Vit C's, but I loved the texture, I like that it has no smell, and I like that it soaks in quickly and allows me to put stuff over it almost straight away. I can't complain, and for a total brand flirt, I won't even bother trying another brand (also because it is so inexpensive compared to others - and I have bought much more expensive "multi-vitamin" serums that haven't given me any results, AT ALL!! Shock ).
