Awhile back there were several topics regarding foundations that contained ingredients that degraded the efficacy of sunscreens. I think one of them was titanium dioxide(?).
I was wodering what foundations you guys are using over yours....I'm confused (still) about this Mexoryl stuff. Someone mentioned the Jurlique Rose silk powder, but I really need a little more coverage than a powder. Is it possible to get foundation without chemicals that interfere with Mex?

But please do bear in mind that an astounding amount of brands containing Mexoryl also contain Avobenzone, which ostensibly is degraded by using powders and foundations containing iron oxides/titanium dioxide/mica - even if said Mexoryl sunscreen itself also contains both Parsol and titanium dioxide. 
This hypothesis is quite complicated and puzzling, and though I have ordered some Jurlique powder for the cautionary heck of it, I still have a lot more in-depth research to do before I do a complete rehaul on all of my future foundation/powder purchases. However, this matter is something to be wary of and certainly one to look considerably further into. Best of luck. I for one am still chock-full of questions. |
