Having a subscription to People magazine not only means I should really get a life, but it also gets me reading and interested in new skincare that celebs are using....
What do you think of this line?
www.patriciawexlermd.com
I have a feeling I'll be investigating it although I am currently quite happy with PSF skincare....it's like I have no restraint chip in my brain....

I'm like you. I will buy just about anything new with promises like those. Plus, I've heard so much about her for such a long time. I don't know about you, but I'll be watching that website for pricing and availability.
By the way, what do you like in the PSF line. I am new to this board, and it seems lots of peolpe use it or refer to it. TIA

I guess the better question would be what DON'T I like from the PSF skincare line!
I am a big fan of their:
Green Tea Cleanser
Cucumber Mist
O2 Rescue Serum
Emergen-C serum
Most favorite is the eye-cream.
I just ordered a full size of the Pumpkin Mask after loving the sample and a full size of their Perfecting Lotion.
It had gotten to the point that my morning and evening routine was so easy b/c I was down to a few products that were really working for me. But this line does sound intriguing.....maybe Bath and Body will have samples for us to see what the Patricia Wexler line is all about.

I just ordered the green tea cleanser. The O2 sounds interesting. Have you noticed improvement in your skin? If you don't mind my asking, what specifically? Right now I am using a glycolic cleanser and skin medica (TNS). In the Fall, I"ll go back on retin-a. |

I've never heard of her until the People magazine article. Not sure if she's the same person on Oprah, and not sure if she's the derm. who recommends ProActiv.
I guess the line officially launches in September at specific Bath and Body shops and probably from the website.
I just want to sample it and see what it's all about, being the skincare junkie that I am.

Yes she is the derm who frequently appears on Oprah and she is also responsible for Donna Karan's fantastic over 50 skin. She's not the Pro Activ serum doc - those two gals are, I believe, Katie Rodan and Kathy Fields.
Wexler has a fantastic reputation and has resisted endorsing any product lines, as I understand it. I read that she worked on this line over a long period of time and was particularly interested in producing a line that was both active and affordable. It will be very interesting to read some of the reviews when they're in. |

Katee -
Thanks for the info. I didn't think she would endorse the ProActiv line either, but one can never tell. Thankfully, I've never had the need to use a product like ProActiv but it seems to be a love it or hate it thing.
I've tried to streamline my skincare as much as possible - I'm down to maybe two or three lines that I'm enjoying - the IS ProHeal, the above PSF skincare, and good 'ol Burt's Bees Attar of Rose serum - which by some miracle has really done a nice job around my eyes and mouth.
I'd like to say I've been happy enough to not be tempted to try some new things, however, in this case.......

I would really like to try the cleanser. I'll have to keep an eye on this so I can try it when it is available. |
