Hi there, I wonder if you could help me? I have bought the Firming Complex and the Superserum from IS Clinical and would like to know if you should/can use the Firming Complex over the Superserum? I believe I read in a thread here that you can, but the IS Clinical guys said they don't actually recommend it. I've been so impressed with the knowledge and experience (and helpfulness) on this forum, that I thought I would ask the experts! The IS Clinical guys also said they recommend prepping with the Hydracool underneath the Firming Complex, and I've been using the Janson Beckett Facial Skin Prep instead - d'you think that's OK?
Could I also ask what sunscreen you recommend with these products? Should it be Avene, or could I use up my PTR stuff (Avobenzone)?
The other thing I wanted to mention was that I have also bought some Revitol products. Am really not sure what I think yet; they seem OK, but not wow. Does anybody else have experience of or a view on this brand?
Sorry if this is a bit of a ramble. Really appreciate your taking the time to read this, and any words of wisdom much appreciated! |

I've only used Super Serum under Firming Complex a few times at night when I haven't been out all day and didn't apply SS earlier. Normally, I use SS in the AM and FC at bedtime. I don't wear glycolics, other AHAs, or Vit.A derivatives during the day either.
I haven't used Hydra Cool -- I guess because I don't experience any dryness using SS and FC. I use JB Skin Prep only when I use ADCE, otherwise I don't prep with anything.
Avene sunscreen is my choice since I generally wear makeup when I go outdoors -- there's less of a compatibility issue since SO much makeup contains metallic ingredients (some of which degrade sunscreen actives). When I go bare, I use LRP Fluide Extreme.
SC Retinol is the next thing on my list to try! |
