Hi all, this is the very first time for me to post a message here.
Lately, I ordered (my very first order) Murad Acne Complex Kit from EDS, hoping that it will give a solution to my face having whiteheads everywhere. This is my 3 rd week of using the kit... still waiting for a result.
I am running out of my eye-cream (from sisley) and is ready to purchase a new one. After doing a little reserach on the board, I have decided to purchase Murad's Essential C Eye Cream with SPF 15. I understand that a lot of people have good comments on Cellosmet. However, its price is really out of my budget.
My question is: is it ok to use an eye cream with SPF at night time as well? If not, i will have to purchase one with and one without SPF.
Thanks for advance.

Hi BigHead, and welcome to the forum.
Products for the eye area tend to be more expensive because the skin there is more sensitive than the rest of the face. I would not use SPF eye cream at night - there is no need for sun protection and besides, my understanding is that once Vit C is absorbed it stays in for 24 hours and cannot not be washed away. In short, the only benefit left from night time use of the Murad is hydration which you can get from more basic and less expensive products. Think of it this way - having separate day and night creams will mean your Murad will not be used up as quickly, thus saving you money in the long run. HTH |

It's fine, just pointless to use SPF at night. |

I think it's fine although I don't like to use SPF anything at night because it's additional chemicals going on your skin. Do be aware that eye creams with SPF are not the most moisturising ones so if you have a dry eye area then you're better off buying a normal eye cream and then putting SPF over it during the day. Having said that, I love the Murad Essential C eye cream but I only use it during the day and don't have an overly dry eye area. |
