Does anyone here body brush?
I've just bought the Liz Earle body brush and wondered how you do it??...I take it you brush towards the heart?
What does it actually do???
I've had a bit of a blitz through liz earle at the moment. I've got some eyebright and Smoothing Line Serum, so I'll report back when I've seen some results! |

I'm pretty sure I remember GuapaGirl and Mabsy mention that they body-brush to exfoliate and improve circulation and lymph drainage or something....
I'd like to try it out myself, but I haven't got the faintest idea where I'd buy a proper body brush. |

I do body brush although I don't do it often anymore - I keep forgetting! It is very good though if you do it on a regular basis, all the little bumps on the back of my thighs disappear without the use of any glycolics etc
Overall, it's very good at exfoliating the skin and also improving circulation and lymphatic draining. What you want to do this with is a natural bristle brush. I got mine from The Body Shop and it's very good but it *is* rough so you need to be careful with it. I'm sure you can find something that is a little bit more gentle but still effective. And, basically, all you're doing is long strokes towards the heart. I start from the feet up. I find this is best done before a shower or bath and it's meant to be done with a dry brush on dry skin. |

ww.racingsmarter.com has a great site that explains body brushing and even goes through a full body technique. I,ve began using it on some of my clients and it's all been positive feedback. Hope this helps. |

yup yup, body brushing is the BEST. I started doing it about 15 years ago.. at first you really have to be gentle and dont jump straight under a hot shower or into a hot bath. Coolish water to start or else your skin will sting.
My brush also came from body shop, well, it is a mitt-style with natural bristles. I prefer that on my arms/legs/front to a handled-brush. |

ebrown, that is an awsome site!
I love my body brush and yep, it's towards the heart, though I like to do a few circular strokes on the old arse
If you get into the habit, it is literally 2 mins a day and well worth the effort
