I didn't know I even liked volumizing mascara until I tried this product. Surprised I've been using it for about a month and I'm still getting great results so I decided it was time to let the cat out of the bag.

Positives:
-Huge, luscious lashes with one coat.
-Great length too! It stays on the very tips of your lashes, where you put it in the morning, all day long.
-The bristles on the brush are very short, which I find gives better control and helps dissolve clumping before it begins.
-Looks NATURAL! (Holy cow, in a "volumizing" mascara?)
-I'm getting compliments on it and women are asking what mascara I'm using! Woohoo!!
-It's $6 at Walgreens, probably around $4 at Walmart.

Negatives:
-Some days it clumps when I apply it, some days it doesn't. No big deal if you've got an eyelash brush around to comb it out with.
-If I put it on my lower lashes it gets under my eyes by the end of the day, but I haven't had any problems when it's just on my upper. Sad I have this problem with all mascaras, however.

I've not tried the Volume Flash, but there was a sale a couple weeks ago and I bought Extra Super Lash in brown black, and Lycra Lash Extender in black. The Extra Super Lash is very nice, and since I bought in brown black, it gives a subtler look for when I'm wearing neutral eye makeup. The Lycra stuff is amazing, though. It's super black, and really makes my lashes long long long. Both do not flake or clump, they leave my lashes feeling soft, not crunchy, and they last all day. I'd never pay more for mascara now, knowing that there's excellent products like is out there (for cheap!).

I use the volume lash in waterproof mainly because my eyes water a lot. It does not run at all, but it did seem to dry out my lashes. I started using the Ardell growth serum on them, and they are very soft now.

I am a big fan of Rimmel mascaras, for both their quality & price!

I've used Extra Super-Lash for about four years, and continue to come back to it, despite trying-out other brands. Having used and worked-with expensive brands, this product is the bomb for the $3-$5 that it costs. I wear it in black.

When my Dad died, I invested in the waterproof version of the Volume Flash, knowing that I'd need staying-power, and wanting to look presentable for my Dad. Amazing stuff! I will continue to use it when needed, as I don't like using oil-based removers. However, a BIG thumbs-up for this product!

Just bought Rimmel Volume Flash yesterday and it appears very good. For your info, K-Mart in my area has all Rimmel products at 40% off, started Sunday Aug 27 and should last till end of week. Check your local K-Mart. A great bargain! Very Happy

I myself am a huge fan along with a few others here I see with their mascaras. I have used the voluminzing one which I like but really like their Super Lash. It's like $4 at Wal mart too! yay!!!

I didn't have much luck with the Extreme Definition mascara which is the comb thing. My lashes clumped up way too much because when you pull the comb out of the tube there's way too much mascara on it. Am I doing something wrong here? I know it's just not rimmel, think the whole comb concept doesn't work with my lashes unless there's a technique which I'm not applying here.

I take it as it doesn't smudge easily?

The problem I have with all mascara (including water proof ones) is that it 'tints' my lower eyelids by the end of the day and makes me look like I have dark circles... Does anyone have any tips to get around that?

Ok, so I used this for the first time yesterday. I went to a BBQ at a friends house and spent most of the late afternoon outside in the heat. This stuff was didnt smudge at all. After my pregnancy my eyelashes started to fall out at an alarming rate so I have been looking for an inexpensive mascara that would thicken and lengethen without clumping.

This is it!

My lashes looked so great, almost like I was wearing falsies. I use Ardell as a primer, when it dries I curl and add 3 coats of mascara(top only b/c Im using 1000 hours and have no need to apply to lower lashes). You cant beat the price, the only complaint I have is that it does dry a bit stiff, but I think it holds the curl better that way so no biggie.
