drink plenty of water so that your skin is hydrated.
Fruits and vegetables are good for the skin as well.

I think that any well balanced diet, with more emphasis on whole foods rather than refined ones, will improve your skin. Also, choose one high in EFA and drink plenty of water.

1. Drink lots and lots of water and green tea. If you're not snesitive to caffeine coffee is also fine it has good phytochemicals.
2. Avoid processed foods especially
anything partially hydrogenated (including most "good" margarines)
3. Eat a reasonable amount of fat in the form of fish oil, flax meal, olive oil, macadamia nut oil, avocado oil, nuts and some butter. Do not eat much of the other oils.
4. Severely limit white flour and sugar. Simple carbs affect tissue flexibility (i.e. willgive you wrinkles as will blood sugar control problems). Eat instead bran and flax breads.
5. Eat berries (they're low glycemic index and packed with good phyto chemicals). Ditto with all dark green veggies. The only good thing that's white is cauliflower.

6. Last RELAX don't stress out over diet it will only make your skin bad.
Drink red wine (Resveratrol is quite good for skin).

-water with apple-cider vinagre
-water with lemon
-organic fruits & veggies
-Omega 3-6-9 oil (such as Udo's choice)
-walnuts & almonds (just a few a day)
-fish, especially salmon or tuna
-goat yougurt

DO NOT EAT anything with partially hydrogenated fats or hormones (such as non-organic milk, non-organic eggs or chicken with hormones...)

I mostly agree with you. I would, though, only take an Omega 3 (fish oil) supplement not the moxed oils.
Omega 9 is eay to get, eat lots of olive oil its good for you.
We get way too much Omega 6 in our diet. It is proinflammatory, in too large quntities harms the skin and may
play a role in heart disease. My dad worked on this ages ago when it wasn't believed (he would tell everybody that margarine was poisoning them and he was right although everyone thought it was a joke back then). Your omega6/Omega3
ratio should be less than 3 in most American diets it is 20-30! Japanese are better than we in this respect due to fish consumption (and they have lower heart disease).

You might want to google Dr. Perricone's 30 day skincare diet. His book also recommends a specific diet to make the skin look better. I think it is very heavy on the fish, especially salmon.

Water is the greatest thing you can consume. As for fruits, blueberries, cranberries, papayas are great, dark green leafy veggies, natural fats in nuts and avocado, and green tea. Don't know if its proven or not, but POM (pomegranate juice) is supposed to be very good also. Can someone confirm?

Definitely agree that water is good, if not great for the skin.

I drink 2 glasses of lukewarm water first thing in the morning before anything. And I always try to eat 3-4 servings of fruit.

You can get a copy of Dr.Perricones "Three-Day Nutritional Face-lift™" Diet at the site below. Salmon and fresh fruit definitely seem to be the staples! He promises a visible difference in your looks in just 3 days. Anyone here tried this yet?
