Since many of us are on an eyelash enhancement kick these days to show off our longer, darker, lusher lashes thanks to Ardell, Lucia and 1000 Hours, I wondered if anyone has ever heard of the “Split Heated Eyelash Curler” by a company called National in Japan? I’ve just been checking out MUA reviews for eyelash curlers and saw it mentioned and now my curiosity has been aroused...what’s so special about it? An MUAer stated that it had a double heating element, instead of just one like the Model Co LashWand or Eyecurl. How much does it cost? Does anyone know where it can be ordered?
I found these two links that post photos of this Split Heated Eyelash Curler, but to me it just looks like a dozen of other heated eyelash curlers I’ve seen and/or used in the past: http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0000C9I4K/qid%3D1108745273/sr%3D1-4/ref%3Dsr%5F1%5F2%5F4/249-6158575-4675531 and http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/tg/detail/glance/-/kitchen/B0000C9I4L/249-6158575-4675531
So what's the big who-ha about this particular heated lash curler?? Any feedback would be appreciated! |

All right, so I guess nobody has tried it. What about the double-padded manual clamp-type curler from Japonesque that has a lash pad on the top and bottom sides of the "pincher" so that allegedly one's lashes are "double-curled" in just one go? Anyone, anyone?? |

Hi, carekate
I've been using this for 2 years. I try my best to describe this one. Basically it has separated two pads, which is heated by pressing the swith when you curl lashes. It takes about 15 seconds or so to be completely heated. There is also a small swith in order to shift the point pad (to heat and press) from left to right, so that you can curl the each one side of the corner of the eye more easily and clearly. This is actually amazing. I find it's doing a perfect job to have a perfect curl. It will cost about $30, however I'm not sure if they ship this outside of USA. |

Hmmm, I might have to get my dear friend Faith to hunt one of these down for me in Tokyo -- I'm sure she's going to *love* that after all of the madness regarding the Japanese lash growth serum, "Lucia"....
I've actually tried/used heated curlers before (Sephora, Japonesque, Eyecurl, Model Co), but this one is supposed to be extra special because it has a double-heating element which means that it gets hotter than all of the others, which theoritically means it'll give a better curl.
But only the Eyecurl and the ModelCo are specifically marketed with instructions that it is to be used AFTER applying mascara. What about the National, do they recommend using it before or after you apply your mascara (or -- in my case -- Ardell Lash Growth Accelerator!) and let it dry?
TIA,
Carrie |

Hey,
I do use this product usually before the mascara. I often find my mascara tears if I use it after, since it has such a high power heat (it's kind a nice warm tempature so it won't burn your skin ). The big difference from the other similar products is by shifting the switch, let say to the left, then only the left side of the pad stands up targeting the corner lash. This gives me a great effect for my slanting eye lid. Hope it helps. By the way, I just ordered the Lucia serum today on internet. I can't wait to try this. |
