I have been using Dermalogica exclusively for the last 2.5 years, but I'm getting more and more tired of it. I adore their Ultracalming cleanser, but can't quite find "my" moisturizer. My skin is quite dry, and neither the Skin Smoothing Cream nor the Intensive Moisture Balance has convinced me in the long run. I've been switching back and forth between them, and I've also used Facial Cream from MD Formulations underneath, or a moisturizing oil.
At the moment, I'm happy with Dr. Hauschka; I use the cleansing cream (and the cleansing milk:D), the toner for normal/dry, and the rose cream. My skin is more well-behaved than ever, and the problems I've had on my skin are also vanishing...
But somehow, although my skin seems to LOVE these products, I'm still not satisfied. I like hi-tech products, and these are notoriously lo-tech. I'm worried my skin won't thank me in the long run. For the record: I'm using the Vit C-serum from Vivier in addition, in the morning, and of course eye creams.
So any suggestions about what to try? It must be readily available, at least through EDS. I would really like to find a series where I like BOTH the cleansers and the moisturizers, but so far, I've had little luck. I do like the Phytomer Hydra Continue for dry skin, but that's the only product I've tried from Phytomer (except for the Rose Face Dew ) |

I know where you're coming from because even if my skin looks great I just continue searching.... The first thing that I noticed when I read your post is that you're not using sunblock. That really is one of the best things that you can do for your skin (IMO) so I would suggest adding that in.
In terms of finding a skincare range from which you like the cleansers and the moisturisers - well, personally, that has been a bit tough for me which is why I tend to mix and match. Cellcosmet fits the bill but I'm not sure if you want to get yourself addicted to $$$ skincare Valmont is another line from which I like the cleanser and some of the moisturisers. Janson Beckett's Alphaderma CE (together with skin prep) and their organic cleasing milk is also a good choice, particularly if you are seeing any frown lines forming. The ADCE has sunblock in it as well.
I also like some of the Sothy's moisturisers (like them A LOT actually!), I am not sure about the cleansers though. I love their Noctuelle night cream, Hydroptimale gel (probably the cream for you) and the Liposome Hydrogel. That combination really plumped up my skin.
That's all I can think of at the moment - hopefully you'll get plenty of suggestions. |

I AM using sunscreen, Total Protector from MD Formulations. But I hardly spend any time in the sun (not because I don't want to, but my dissertation is due in two months ). Thanks for the suggestions! Esp. Sothys sounds interesting.
I'm thinking of Decleor again....Cellcosmet and Valmont are probably too $$$ as I'm not sure yet about my future work opportunities... |

Sorry, didn't realise you were using the Total Protector. Well, good luck with the hunt and let us know what you find that you like |
