I didnt know that Mabsy...Its a pity they are not sold in my country.
Luckily I hv a friend coming from Sydney next month & i get to stock up
Speaking of which, sorry to be off the topic but is there any other products you'd recommend from down under?
I am experimenting with a couple of Aesop pdts currently and liking the facial care but not the shampoo though...Any other cult brand worth checking out? |

Hi Poppy - I've split your post out of the Mitchum discussion so that you get more recommendations that way
I haven't tried Aesop - hasn't tempted me yet. I can't think of that much else to be honest. Lucas Paw Paw Ointment? Bloom? Megan Gale sunblock? I really love the Kosmea Moisturising Lotion SPF30+ so I'd suggest that Hopefully some of the Aus EDS members will be able to suggest more... |

Kosmea should be available in most health food shops in Australia - their lotion is wonderful as is their cleansing cream (although it's a bit heavy from what I recall). They also have a new rosehip serum that I've only tried from a tester (and only on the back of my hand!) but it made skin feel so nice and smooth!
Yes, this is the natural skincare line I probably mentioned in another thread. Their site is http://www.kosmea.com.au/ |

Hi Mabsy thank you for always having answers to my questions
well....it so happens I almost finish my sunscreen (Skinceuticals Daily Defense SPF20) and want to give this brand a try...I actually like SC but wouldnt mind something less creamy (though it doesnt cause any breakout).
So...I'm going to ask my friend to buy the Kosmea Moisturising Lotion SPF 30....but just wanna make sure...does it clog pores at all and is it suitable for my extremely oily skin? cos I understand your skin is normal not oily like mine is....
Also interested in the 100% rose hip oil, as it's supposed to help with stretchmarks and acne scars)but when searching in the internet read that rose hip is not for oily/acne skin?? have you heard of this ?
sorry to ask so many but one more question OK...I was looking for a herbal shampoo (was acutally looking for Secret Phytologie as recommended by Farouk) earlier at the drugstore and came across a brand called A'Kin? Its a herbal/organic product and Australian-made, do you have any experience with this brand? |

Poppy - I'm not too sure about using the rosehip oil or the SPF30+ lotion for oily skin. I have normal skin and used the lotion in summer when my skin was combination. I didn't have any problems but I think that if someone has very oily skin then a gel formulation might suit them best rather than a lotion. In terms of the oil, many people with oily skin use specific oils (eg. Ylang Ylang) to reduce their skins oil production. So I don't think it's unreasonable to use oils on oily skins but it depends which ones. I am not too sure about rosehip oil. Perhaps start a new thread about rosehip oil for oily skin?
I have heard of A'kin but I haven't used any of their products so I can't comment sorry.
Sorry I wasn't of much help here....
ps. If you email Kosmea you can ask them to send you a sample pack of their products. The samples are quite small but it'll give you an idea about the texture. |

Well, I already asked my friend to buy both pdts, He should be here this week...cant wait to try them!
As for yLang-Ylang I'm now using Decleor Oil based on your & other members' review
At first it was not doing much improvement so I stopped using it a while back.
But I hate to see it go to waste so I started using it regularly and one find day I woke up with a nice dewy and smooth skin instead of my usual dull shine! I think the prod GRADUALLY improves my skin tone and help to regulate oil secretion... Now its the last thing I put on my skin be4 bedtime every night!
BTW, any other cool websites to ask for free samples??? |

I look forward to hearing what you think of the Kosmea stuff
Re: samples. There was a thread here a while back about sources of samples. If you do a search for samples you should be able to find it |

Mabsy...
just want to thank you for introducing me to Kosmea!!
I have used up my 15ml of Rose Hip Oil cause i use it everwhere
And the Sunscreen is so sheer in texture, perfect for my oily skin...
I even put the Rose Hip Oil under my eyes and they look smoother when I wake up...and it has also been kind to my acne-prone skin.
Going to re-purchase my 2nd bottle soon...and 3rd for my mum!! Merci Mabsy! |
