Hi all. I'd like your opinions and experience on a topic that has always perplexed me. When you are using more than one product, which order should they go in? Should sunscreen always go on top?
I am planning to do the JB routine with the skin prep, C&C, and ADCE. I figured I would do this twice a day, but I have to use sunscreen during the day. Should I still do all the steps? Is there something I should omit for daytime? If I am layering on 4 products AND makeup, it'll take me hours to get out of the house (on top of what it already takes me)! 
How does everyone here layer their skincare products?

Hi Nymue, welcome to the forum  Whatever products I use my suncreen is always the last layer. I don't use moisturizer at the moment coz I don't need it in the summer months but in colder, less humid weather I allow some time for my moisturizer to sink in then put on sunscreen. I would never do it the other way around as I'm afraid the moisturizer will disturb the sunscreen "film" on my face and defeat the purpose of UV protection. HTH |

Sunscreen is always last for me (although in the past it used to depend on the type of sunscreen/block that you used - not sure if it still does). I mean last before makeup of course...
With your routine you're looking at using the skin prep first, then the C&C (once a day only) and then the ADCE. The ADCE is supposed to have SPF15 in it already but your additional sunblock you're using would go over the top. |
