So I already have a cleanser for morning use:
MD Forte Cleanser I (glycolic) or Avene Gentle Cleansing Milk. I alternate these two.
However, in the evening, when I need to cleanse to remove makeup, I find neither of these 2 cleansers appropriate. The Avene is simply too gentle.
So, based on reading some reviews here, which of the following cleansers would be most appropriate for removing makeup BUT not leaving me dry and flakey. I have combination skin with hormonal acne mainly on chin.
Yonka Gel Nettoyant
Dermalogica Dermal Clay
Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel
Dermalogica Ultra-Calming Cleanser
Avene Rinse-Off Gel Cleanser
LRP Effaclar Gel |

Out of those I can definitely recommend the YonKa Gel Nettoyant and also the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel.
I would suggest going against the Dermal Clay cleanser if you plan on using it around the eye area. |

I just started with YonKa Gel, it's great, gentle yet very effective makeup remover (except waterproof mascara). I had been using Dermalogica cleansing gel and clay cleanser (let alone ultra-gentle), I found neither takes away makeup at all! Just my 2 cents. |

I have used both Derm Ultra Calming and Special Cleansing and have found that they both take of make up well. With Ultra Calming for an effective clean, you do need to massage it into your skin before you rinse it off. |

Hi, I would say the Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel is your best bet. But I have one that is even better...Peter Thomas Roth Chamomile Cleansing Lotion. It is like a lathering cream, for all skin types. It has a clean scent, doesn't strip your skin's natural oils, yet cleans really well. Honestly, it removed my eye makeup so well! I am using the Special Cleansing Gel now, whic is so good as welll. But for eye makeup removal, PTR. |

Does the Yonka cleanser have a scent? I seem to remember trying a sample but being put off by the scent....something green comes to mind. I just want to make sure before I order it. Thanks |

I use the Dermalogica Dermal Clay about every four days (I usually crush 4 to 5 aspirin in it to increase the calming effect) as a mask and leave it on for 10 minutes. I have dry skin and I think this cleanser, if used every day, would really dry my skin out. But as a mask it is great for my skin!!
At night, I really like to use B. Kamins Vitamin Cleanser because it helps control breakouts, takes off my make-up, and leaves my skin feeling very soft. |
