I recently finished up my skinceuticals daily moisture. While it was great at first, it left a film that balled up when I applied makeup.
I purchased these two products instead:
-Ahava Matifying Moisturizer
-Babor B Young Combination Cream
Has anyone given these products a try yet? I couldn't decide between them so I ordered both. They look like they're not too heavy, but well moisturizing.
I haven't heard any talk about either product on here, but the Ahava (product name changed recently) gets good reviews on MUA...and I hear so much good stuff about Babor eye creams I wanted to try their facial cream. |

Hi Lianne
I'm currently looking for a good under foundation moisturizer myself and had looked at the Babor products. Please let us know how you like it. |

I got the products today and can't really comment on them yet. The babor 'B young' combination cream smells a bit like calvin klein escape. Felt nice on the skin too. Didn't put makeup over it though because I'd already done it for the day.
Ahava mattifying is definitely mattifying. Feels velvety like they say...I just don't like the pump and wonder if it will be enough moisturization.
I'll try the babor out for the next week or so and report back
Which product were you looking at VEE? Makeupalley.com does have some reviews on a few of the babor products...Check it out if you haven't already |

Hi Lianne
Thanks for the tip on Makeupalley.com. I'm headed there in a few minutes to see their reviews.
As far as Babor products are concerned I was looking at their Hydro Flavon Cream. Think I've decided against it though.
I really think I'd like to try Sothys Lift Defense Satin Silky Cream or one of the creams by Thalgo...maybe the Thalgogive Wrinkle Control Smoothing Care. Really like the sound of there products and would love to try their Refining Firming Serum.
What I'm really looking for is something that refines and makes my pores look a bit smaller.
Let me know how you get on with your new creams!

I received a sample of thalgo eye cream with the package yesterday and I must say I like it!!
It was the Thalgo Revitalising Eye Contour Cream.
It's thick but soaked into my skin quickly...no problems with it making makeup melt either. |

Yes!!!! I'm using this at the moment and it's wonderful! IMO it's a cross between the Cellcosmet and the PSF eye cream. I'm loving it so far but I'm waiting for a while to do a proper review because the second ingredient in this is mineral oil and I want to see if milia is a problem. |

Mabsy,
Let me know if it does cause milia. My mom is prone to it and I've have one or two on my eyelids in the past few years. They are NOT nice to deal with. I'd hate to buy it and find out it causes it.
Do you like it more than the babor sensational eye cream? I know that's another of your favs (and more reasonably priced than the cellcosmet) |

Lianne - still too early to tell for me. I do really like the Babor but I think this one is also a nice texture but more moisturising so it might be good for those that found the Babor to not be enough. I had two samples of the Thalgo eyecream and I put them in a little Cellcosmet sample pot to make it easy to use. It should last me for a few weeks more so I'll report back when I've used it for long enough. Likewise, could you please let me know what you think of it after a while? |

I have tried Ahava mattifying moisturiser and I really liked it, even though it was 4 years before. It does not break me out and absorbs into the skin quickly. However, I would prefer kate somerville moisturisers to Ahava. Am using her line now and its my HG. Would recommend it to anyone. |

I personally think Babor is a relly good brand with alot of scientific research behind it. I have used the mimical cream and the hy oil and it is good. Again it must be said that its not a potent skincare like Obagi or Jan Marini but really good if you have no major issues. I hope this helps |
