Even though my undereye area is not terribly dark, I find that a small amount of concealer under my eyes really freshens my appearance. The problem is - I can't find one that doesn't make my fine lines look deeper. Please note that I don't generally need or use foundation so there will not be another product "blending" with the concealer. Any tips or recommendations? |

I quite like MAC seclect cover up. I know a lot of people swear by Ives St Laurant Touch Eclait and Revlon Skinlights is suposed to be quite good too. |

Unlike other types products, I haven't sampled or purchased a gazillion brands of concealers that are out on the market today. From what I have tried, I like Laura Mercier Secret Concealer, and two Almay concealers....the basic stick formula and the Skin Smoothing Concealer with Kinetin. Concealers, like foundation, are very individual, based on skin type and need. I have dry skin, no puffiness, and, at times, just a slight blue-tinged area below my eyes. I don't use concealer every day, only when I think I need a boost to even skin tone. I prefer the creamier textures. The LM and the Almay Skin Smoothing have the perfect texture and look most natural on me....applied very lightly and I prefer to use a concealer brush. (I never powder around my eye area) I use the Almay standard stick in the lightest shade as a brightener on the inner and outer corners of my eyes, and a touch just above my brow. I really want to try a few of the other brighteners I've heard and read so much about, but, surprisingly, the inexpensive Almay stick does a pretty good job for me! |

I did, it was like someone turned on the light and my face didn't have any shadows. Ives St Laurant Touch Eclait is expensive, (I had sticker shock). My new out look on beauty is
"Cause I'm worth it".

If your dark circles aren't too bad then MAC Moisture Cover concealer or YSL Touch Eclat (more of a highlighter) might be good options. I find the MAC one creamy and moist so it shouldn't settle in lines (IMO). If your dark circles are a bit more obvious then Jane Iredale Circle Delete concealer (also very creamy) might be an option for you. |
