I have rosacea, some acne, oily yet somewhat dehydrated, pustules from rosacea, very sensitive skin. I have been using decleor ylang ylang oil and balm. Lately I feel my skin is more irritated. Should I switch to the essential balm instead? Does this help clear congestion like ylang ylang balm? I am also wondering if I need moisture in addition to the balm?
Different topic--Do any other rosaceans use:
Dr Hauschka cleansing cream
ACV toner
aspirin mask
jojoba oil
prescription products.
I am often tempted but afraid of messing with my sensitive skin. I just feel there has to be something more I can do to help my skin.
Thanks in advance for any help. |

The Essential Balm is the one that is meant for decongesting the skin, while the Ylang Ylang balm is for normalising and decongesting oily skin (from what I understand). I don't have rosacea but I can tell you that the Essential Balm is very gentle - having said that, it's possible that your very sensitive skin may not be tolerating the natural products well. Given the risk with your very sensitive skin, I would suggest that you get a sample of the Essential Balm first before buying a full size.
Since you say that your skin is dehydrated, I would add some moisture in addition to the balm - but also remember that the Essential Balm is supposed to be used periodically (two weeks out of a month from memory) not all the time. If used all the time if can dry out the skin (or at least that's what some of the Decleor SAs say). |

I agree with Mabsy about the EB and moisture. Also, I don’t know if you use my recipe for your ACV toner, but I’ve recently discovered the wonders of incorporating *chamomile* tea along with the green tea because it really helps calm and soothe irritation so you might want to give that a try. Like, instead of using all green tea to dilute the ACV, use ½ green tea and ½ chamomile for the dilution. |

Thanks very much ladies. Rosacea is so frustrating and it helps to throw out ideas to others! |
