Anyone used products from this line before? http://www.remede.com/

I heard its popular in Hollywood. I saw that this line has a C-serum that is 25%. Tempted Embarassed

HI,
It's been fairly well established that more than 20% of vitamin C is pointless as the skin doesn't absorb it above that concentration.

The stuff looks nice generally, but I don't like it when I don't see full ingredients and stuff like the hydratherapy lift intense serum looks over priced for HA, B5 and bisbolol.

Also, WTH does 'hydramagnetic' mean

Remede is the name of the line associated with products sold at Marcia Kilgore's Bliss Spas and the now famous Bliss Catalogue.

The products aren't bad but are generally overpriced.

You can check them out at http://www.blissworld.com and at http://www.rememde.com

Thanks guapagirl,
I didn't know the skin won't absorb vit-C over 20%. Thanks for this useful fact.
I definately think Remede is overpriced and I saw that the vit-C bottle is clear with white label...I thought vit-C should be stored in dark bottle to prevent oxidation?

Anyone we used this line before pls enlighten us... Shock

GG - have you got any references to that by any chance? I have read that as well ages ago and I was trying to find something about that the other day when someone posted about a 50% vitamin C serum but I couldn't find any info on it anywhere. From memory I think it was something like 23% is highest, but I can't be sure....

I second Mabsy's request! I literally had my finger on the order button for a 30% Vit C product that GreatSkin just came out with. I don't use the IS Clinical Super Serum on my chest and neck (too expensive....), but the GreatSkin guys just came out with a 30% Vit C cream that really tempted me !

GuapaGirl...if you have a reference handy, I'd love to see it. Especially since if I start doing my own research, I'm likely to spend hours reading stuff that I really didn't intend to read in the first place, but which looked soooooooooo interesting Wink

If you go to the skinceuticals website, they have a little chart that shows how much vit c the skin will absorb, I believe it drops off dramatically after 22 percent.

Thanks Dolly! Which part of the site is it on? Do you know by any chance if they cited any research other than their own? Preferably I'd like to get a source that doesn't sell it (Skinceuticals doesn't have a C serum over 20% so I guess it makes sense that they would find reasoning for their limit in concentration). What I had read earlier was the report of some research I think but I can't find it....

I was reading a Chinese forum like EDS and came across a thread asking the same question about % of c-serum. Someone posted an article by some demotologist working in a big hospital in Taiwan. The demotologist claimed that 5% of c-seurm is enough for antioxident effect. If "whitening" effect is to be achieved, then 10-15% should be enough. Confused
But, I would also like to see some actual studies in English that support this claim. Confused

Which cream? Remede puts out a huge number of products.... The 25% Vit C is a serum - is that what you were referring to????
