I know you're out there! I use the IS Clinical Active/Super/ProHeal, eye cream and moisture complex. I couldn't be happier....but maybe I could.
I've been using Sonja Dakar Red Grapefruit cleanser, like it a lot, but have been reading about her and not wanting to reorder from someone who isn't "customer friendly."
I'd like to know what you all use for a cleanser cuz I'd like to switch. Also, does anyone use additional products for anti-aging? I may want to "up" my results for lines and loose skin (that stuff ya get when you're OLD).
Thanks,
Lexy |

Well I'm an IS groupie too. I use Cetaphil for cleanser followed by DR H cleansing cream and clarifying toner (although I'd like to try carekate's ACV toner). I also use the Derma Excel generous offer and I just ordered their sample pack to break up my routine. I also use the PSF pumpkin enzyme mask once a week and am trying the DR H rejuvinating mask. |

Hi Annie! Why do you use two cleansers? Did I understand you right - you use Cetaphil followed by Dr.H CC right after?
What I love about ISC is that it's so simple and works wonderfully. I really need to find a cleanser but can be talked into most anything else. I've had my eye on Dr. H CC for some time now.

Cetaphil takes off the top layer of makeup, but I consider DR H CC more of a deep pore cleanser-it doesn't take the makeup off per say, just deep cleans out what is left behind in my pores. One two punch. You could really use anything for your skin type, I just need something pretty gentle not to strip off my ph level. With IS I don't seem to need much more, although the Derma XL is a huge help on my lines (but I love to try masks). |

WOW! I have been using the exact same routine, even down to the JB sample pack to break it up and the pumpkin/rejuv masks! I guess us Texas women think alike |

I have been using IS Clinical products for a couple of weeks, including their cleanser.I find it to be good - but nothing spectacular. I don't know if I would order again but I love the other products I have been using (active serum and hydra cool, with proheal on its way!)Big IS Clinical fan katee recommends neutrogena face wash (anti acne/anti wrinkle - or something like that) on earlier threads...
I now have an IS Clinical related question. Do you think if I did 30% or 40% glycolic masks in addition to my IS Clinical regime I would be using too many active products - potentially aggravating my skin? I want to use glycolic masks for large pores and hyperpigmentation (from melasma)...My skin is pretty oily - and not too sensitive. I was hoping someone has had experience with this combo!!! |

I agree that Cetaphil is just a wonderful product. I have oily skin though, and a combination of work and family take me back and forth between Washington DC and NYC - MAJOR yucksville for the skin! Bottom line: I needed a cleanser a little more active than Cetaphil. I use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti_Wrinkle Anti_Blemish Cleanser and absolutely love it. (I also love the price )
To respond to Lela re adding glycolic peels: before I started using IS Clinical stuff, I was doing a 60% glycolic acid peel at home with products purchased from platinumskincare.com. I was generally pleased with the progress I was making and I continued the peels for a little while after I started my IS Clinical routine. Ultimately, I stopped the acid peels, NOT because it was too active - I have very resilient skin and had adjusted to the strength of the peel. It was just that I didn't need it anymore (to my DEEEE-LIGHT). I haven't done a peel in over 8 mos I think. If your skin can handle it, and you want to kind of jumpstart your results with the IS Clinical line, I think its fine to incorporate glycolic peels. Just be a good girl and follow the directions |

I was disappointed to hear katee's "cheap" cleanser works well. I'm usually of the "why spend less when you can spend more" school of thought.
I was thinking about Prevage, or getting more ADCE or whatever initials it is, to help tighten my skin. ISC works wonderfully on the clarity of my skin but I'm not sure it does anything to firm. Maybe I should try the Firming Cream? (big duh) What do you all think is best for firming?
As far as peels, I'm probably borderline sensitive-skinned. There is no way I could add a peel to the mix without burning my skin. I'll leave well enough alone in that department.

I had recd. a sample of the SESderma soap free cleanser with my IS Clinical order from the skincareinstitute and it was wonderful, but more expensive than Cetaphil (pick and chose my faves to splurge on). I have very fair & sensitive skin, prone to rosacea, which is why proheal is my serum of chioce vs. the active+poly-vit combo that was intitially recommended to me by some of the other skin care specialists. Super serum works well for me also, but didn't see much difference in the two in overall reults to say for sure, other than proheal was more calming. I tried the firming cream but it was a little too much for my skin but you could always try a sample and see. And hydracool is very soothing overall. |

Hi Lexy
Yes, the IS Clinical Firming complex is lovely. The complex also did wonders for clarity and tightening up those pores in my T ZONE. I still find that AlphaDermaCE is best for firming.
As far as cleansers I use both Janson Becketts and Pure Skin Formulations cleanser and toner. PSF is fairly new in my routine. So far I am very impressed with PSF products. Their Pumpkin Peel being top on my list.
So glad to hear from you. |

Hi Winnie! I feel so guilty because I never sent you a sample I had promised! For me, I really liked JB but my pores clogged up easily with it. I had to press out gunk every night. Not the best scenario.
So like you, I just don't want to sag, or get any more saggy. Cuz I really don't see a facelift happening in my future. Maybe I'll try the Firming Cream. I just reordered from Skinterra, rats. Wonder if she'll send me a sample without an order.....

No problem Just one less thing I will be tempted to buy. So glad your back in touch with us.
I do think you should try the Firming Complex. Where you are such a fan of ISC the complex might just be what you are looking for.

Well, Thanks Winnie. But I still feel guilty. Guess I need to fix that.
It's good to be back! I started a new job in September and had a bunch of stuff to attend to, then life got in the way.
So are you all telling me that the only products out there for firming are the ADCE and ISC Firming? I'm surprised that's all. Good products, but I thought there'd be more.

Wish the firming had worked for me-maybe I gave up on my sample too soon, but I started peeling. I am trying the AlphaDerma (just got it in yesterday) so I am glad to hear it is for firming. I'd love to order more JB products after the wonderful good faith product they sent me and I am grateful. I love the IS serums-they are great for overall skin tone and softness but I need sag control and good pore tightening too. That's what I am hoping the toners add, correct (tightening pores)? |

I'm going to order the Firming Cream from Skinterra and want to add a cleanser that's not too expensive. What about Ole Henrickson (sp)Apricot Cleanser? Anyone try that? Any other suggestions for cleansers? Katee uses something that's for oily skin and I need something for normal/aging skin. And I'm not a fan of Cetaphil.
Picky little thing, aren't I?

Always a bad sign when you answer yourself. I found a sample of the Firming Complex and was told by Skinterra to use it over the Active at night if my skin could handle it. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! I can't wait to get my fullsize! My skin feels firmer and there are visible results after two nights of use. I mean, I don't look 20, but I can see wear it's starting to firm. Very exciting stuff!
I also ordered Ole Henriksen On The Go Cleanser for sensitive skin. Has an orange base, I guess. I'll let ya all know what I think when it gets here.

I use firming & active togethr with no problems and enjoy the results As for cleanser, my favourite is Jan Marini's c-esta cleansing gel for all skin types-removes eye make-up, foams (I like that)-also good for slightly oily skin. This one last forever-well-about 6 months anyway. In second place would be skinceuticals foaming cleanser. Both clean well with no residue. O.K. not too many people bother with toners anymore...save $$ for rthings that make a difference-but-when one feels like splurging-try bobbi brown's toner-lavender scented, apothecary-style bottle. Great stuff!!
P.S. I have an itch coming on for the Pat Wexler stuff...someone stop me before I scratch |

Hi Lela,
Yes, I have oily skin & really don't need the hydracool right now...mind you winter's coming FAST and it's good to have on hand. I need the firming, so this works well for me as well as alternating with skinceuticals 1%. I obviously don't have sensitive skin. |

I was told (like I always listen ) to use the Moisture Complex over the Active/Firming at night. I've done it for the past 2 nights with no ill effects. Mind you, it's getting colder here so I can do that. In the summer, I would probably leave it out.

That's what I was told as well...I ended up using the firming complex over it because I got the sample jars mixed up...ended up being a happy accident. Again though, sensitive skins should be careful. |

Sag control AlphaDermaCE and Mineral Prep certainly resolved that issue for me. As far as tight pores...IS Clinical Active Serum is awesome. When I was using the ISC I found what worked best for me was: Mineral Prep, ISC Active Serum, AlphaDermaCE. I really loved ISC for my T zone but something had to give. I am now using the PSF Pumpkin Peel weekly and it is doing a great job on my T Zone. |
