when you unexpectedly don't have any clear working plans for a weekend, and instead of enjoying the thought, you start worrying about how to spend the time... Embarassed

After the last few months, I probably need some relaxation, especially sleep and time to let the mind wander. In addition, there's a neglected flat in need of emergency cleaning. And I'll go to the gym, and probably even bake bread.

Conclusion: maybe a couple of days off aren't that bad, after all Laughing

Laughing I'm sure you'll find plenty of things to do!

Another one is waking up in the morning and checking emails on your PDA before you even manage to get out of bed to switch on the laptop Embarassed I'm going away for five weeks and I think one week of that will be "withdrawal from technology" symptoms and worrying about all the work that is coming in and not being done. Then when I get back, it'll be catching up on 5 weeks of work - almost not worth going on holidays!!! Brick wall

Whenever I'm on vacation I find I need a couple of days to "depressurize" before I can get into holiday mode. This is probably due to the fact that on my last working day before vacation I'm running around like crazy, trying to fix loose ends. Then when I come back its payback time coz I have to deal with all the work waiting for me Mad So I can relate to Mabsy's comment wondering if its all worth it. What works for me are long holidays of at least a week's duration - I'm unplugged long enough that I manage to not care Laughing

Enjoy your weekend Nemi, you deserve a break! Mabsy, 5 weeks off is awesome Dancing Have a great time!

Boy can I answer this one--my dear boyfriend is a workaholic.

Ya know you're a workaholic when you leave work and spend the entire commute home (60mins) on the phone with your work.

Ya know you're a workaholic(sounds like Jeff Foxworthy's "Ya know your a redneck when.. Laughing ) when you say to your significant other (me), "honey you'd be so proud of me, I didn't check my work email before I went to bed." Brick wall

And this is just for the first job (yep he has 2). The other job requires one night and most cases 1 day/night on the weekends. But hey he's been known to put in 20hrs/week on the 2nd job. Sheesh. Embarassed

Sorry this is so long winded. Yep this doesn't leave much time for "us", he usually sleeps/naps on the weekends because he's so exhausted. Oh gosh this is a bone of contention with me--and he has gotten so much better Exclamation Smile
