If it does go bad, what are the signs? because I think mine is starting to smell and look kind of different...maybe it's just me being paranoid. Thanks |

Mine hasn't gone bad yet, but if you think it smells bad PLEASE throw it out! It's cheap enough that it's not worth the risk. |

When I made my first batch at the end of 5 weeks it smelled a bit yeasty. I put essential oils, salicylic acid and Germaben in it now and it lasts a very long time. I think just a bit of the Ylang Ylang oil would protect it. The latest time I made it I added some alpha-lipoic acid as an emulsifier.
Anyway throw it out if it smells bad it is cheap and easy to remake, I love it. |

I added ylang ylang oil and vitamin c powder and it lasted quite a long time without spoiling! |

I think it does but it depends on what you add to it to keep it fresh. There are things you can add - I can't remember what they are sorry but they were discussed here before, possibly in the original ACV thread.
Mine smelled fermented after a while and I think it looked a little bit different too (more cloudy?). |
