what's the best way to remove moles so there's little or no risk of scarring?

i have a few small, dark, nearly flat moles on my face and neck. what would be the best way to treat these?

There's a good thread on this in the skin care forum just do a search. I had a dark flat mole on my face. I used "super cop" twice a day and in three months it was completely gone. I tried this after reading the thread.

Always, always, ALWAYS visit a doctor to have the moles checked before doing anything. Never, never, NEVER just go straight at it with the cream option.

Cream removal is great (I use a prescription one for small skin cancers) but I cannot stress enough the importance of seeing a doctor. Even if they are flat, show no changes, whatever. Better to be sure than end up dead. (sorry, but I lost a family member because of cancer in moles so I will scream this advice at anyone who will listen). I am not saying don't use something like Super Cop, but just make sure you have them checked out by a doctor before you start to use it.

OK, my fire and brimstone session aside, if you end up having them removed by a doc, make sure that they are qualified in stitching techniques used by plastic surgeons. After the stitches are out, use Bio Oil or high-strengh Vit. E oil (go for the purest you can find and afford) and rub on twice a day to minimize any scarring. Unless you have a tendancy for keloid scarring you should have no trouble at all.

For the member who has used Super Cop - how did your skin/mole look throughout the 3 month process? Was there any discomfort or redness or pain? The prescription one I have for the keratosis type skin cancers is not all that pleasant to use (though works in a couple of weeks and on my scar-prone face is a better alternative to freezing them off. )

My skin is not sensitive (I can use 20% skinceuticals C without drying) but I am allergic to many skin creams.

I just used the super-Cop on the mole.
It peeled several times but did not get red at all. If you get reddnes I would stop or use a milder version. Now it is completely gone not even a trace of color on the skin. I had been using the regular Copper peptides once a day for over a year so my skin must have been used to it. I did go to my regular MD but he did not seem concerned that it was a
dangerous mole. I have had moles frozen off but this worked better. I did not get a scar and it did not hurt.
