Hi guys Smile. If you normally get breakouts w/o using products, how would you know then, when you`ll use a blush if you will get breakouts from it? TIA.

Hi Pipilover,

I would imagine that everyone is different, but I can usually tell if a product has caused a breakout in one of two ways.

If I get an itchy sensation where the product is, that tells me that my face is reacting to that product. This reaction usually causes bumps on me, although if I recognize the sensation soon enough and remove the product it's okay.

Not all products that cause me to breakout give me that "itchy" warning ... but when I have a more severe breakout than usual, particularly in the area where I've had that product, then it's a good bet that the product it to blame.

In my experience, most makeup products, with the exception of minerals, cause me to breakout to varying degrees. With blushes, particularly, I would imagine it's the dyes they use to get the colours that could be a culprit. I don't know that for certain but that would be my guess.

Since switching to mineral makeup, I have had fewer problems directly relating to makeup than ever before ... which tells me that for me, at least, traditional makeup just isn't good for my skin.

Mary

Thx Mary. Hmm i guess i will not know when i will get a breakout if it`s from a product or not, cuz i don`t get a "warning", i just get the breakout. I do use minreal foundation, but sometimes i see pretty blushes, that are not to dry or to shimmery and then i want to try it, but sometimes the ingredients are not listened, that`s to bad, cuz that would make it easier for me! Thx again Smile
