Hi. I would like to know which l/s will give the lips a tint, but will not look like i have l/s on, cuz lipstick does not look good on me,but my lips do need a pink/peachy tint, cuz they are a bit dark. I want that kinda tint that looks like it`s from your own, so the lipstick does have to look like it`s in "your skin" instead on top of it (if you know what i mean). TIA |

I generally like MAC lipsticks. Try to choose something neutral that would look natural on you. I can't suggest a shade cuz I don't know your skintone. Also, what about lipgloss? it definitely will look very MLBB (my lips but better). |

How about trying something like Benefit's Benetint ( there are other brands too) which is a deep pink transparent liquid that you can use on cheeks for a transparent flush/blush or on lips for a very light tint?
I dont find it gives me enough as a lip colour personally ...but it tastes like rose and you can add a clear gloss and it looks very "natural". |

Hi guys, thx for the replies. Hmm about lipgloss, cuz my lips are a little dark, light/natural glosses don`t show up on me. I`ve heard about MAC hue lipstick and that it looks good almost with everybody, so maybe i`m gonna try this one then. Has one of you tried this one? And about the benefit benetint, i have the cheap version of it from the body shop, but i find it to rose/bright for the lips, on my lips it becomes dark rose and i would like it to have peachy, or actully i want to have something that brightens up the face, but thx for the suggestions. Can i order samples of MAC lipsticks, before buying it? TIA. |

Oh one more question. How can you lighten your lips with foundation? I mean i`ve read that some people use lipfusion to lighten there lips, so that they can aplly any color of lipstick or gloss, so that it will show up. But i`ve heard you can also do this with foundation/powder, but when i had tried this and then applied the lipgloss, it didn`t look good, cuz you could saw the foundation through it. Is there a special color that you should apply? |

I have a peachy-colored flesh toned lipstick that lightens my lips a lot. Maybe you want to try something like that? |

sephora has lip tints that are really nice...I use apricot and raspberry...but my skin is really light. There is a tint on one side and a gloss on the other. |

There is a Sheer lip stain that Clinique makes...the Color is called "Black Honey" in a slim tube...it looks like your own color..only better. It would be great with your dark lips. |

I like BareFaced Minerals' Lippie Styx -- smell like chocolate oranges, are very pigmented but very natural-looking. I don't know what your skin tone is (cool or warm), but Beautiful Illusion ("Soft neutral beige glimmer with a hint of pink"), Illusion ("Soft neutral beige glimmer"), or Kathy ("Soft neutral beige glimmer mixed with Elderberry for a soft mauve color") are all YLBB (Your Lips But Better). Her descriptions are more accurate than the photos, IMHO. http://barefacedminerals.org/catalog/customer/home.php?cat=285 |

My personal favorite when I want just a touch of color with shine is the burt's bees lip shimmers. I like the nutmeg the best though I know other people really like the champagne and raisin ones...they are pretty inexpensive, so you could sample a few and figure out which works best with your coloring. I think you can find them at CVS pretty easily (and a bunch of other places too...) |

Pipilover, are you dark skinned? I'm only asking because you may try the Bobbi Brown lip gloss in gold. Oh, pooh, I can't remember the name. I need to go home and dig it out. I'll get back to you with the name. It is really pretty and smells nice. Very compact. Maybe two inches.
I bought it because I have impulse issues and the girl who was doing my makeup had it on. She was a black lady and the gold L/G looked amazing on her. Very natural, but lovely. Of course I bought it, but being white it looked nice, but not amazing like on her. (I'm actually Native american, but who am I kidding? I have green eyes and 'm the lightess Indian you'll ever see. My father and his family look NA, but I got my mothers genes. ) |
