does anyone here recommend pond's? cleanser, face powder... especially their oil and blemish control powder... are these really good products? don't they clog the pores or something?

I didn't try oil and blemish control powder, but I tried cleanser. I didn't like it, my face was red after I used it.

I use Chanel powder. I want to try Bare Essencials. There are many good reviews about this product, especially for skin prone to acne. This product not suppose to clog the pores. have you try it?

I tried the Bare Escentuals and it really did not work for me, it made my pores look huge and my skin appear greasy, in natural daylight just awful.
However it does get a lot of rave reviews, I would advise you to get samples or visit a BE counter and try the it first before you buy.

i haven't tried bare essentials. i use johnson's face powder. i don't know it's ingredients since it's not listed. i doubt if it's natural though. i'm cautious about what i put on my skin now, since i hear conventional cosmetics have lots of poisons in them. anyway, im still trying to find a good powder, that doesn't clog pores so it could help control my acne. do you have any suggestions?

I wouldn't suggest to use Baby powder. Especially on your face! I use it one on my nephew, my hands had blisters from allergic reaction Sad . And yes, they don't use natural ingredients in this powder.
Murad has Neutralizing Treatment Powder, but it is mostly for Rosacea-like redness and concerns. It may help you with acne, because it is absorbing the oil. How bad is your acne? May be it is better for you to see a dermatologist. He could recommend a product for you.

thanks for replying so soon. anyway, i don't really believe in going to dermatologists. they only cure the superficial aspect of acne. i believe that the cause is internal. so it will just keep coming back, even if you go to the derma. i have mild to moderate acne, and very oily skin. so face powders are really a must for me. i can't go out without applying powder to my face. im hesitant to use conventional cosmetics because they have synthetic, harsh ingredients. but i can't find a face powder that's mild and non-pore clogging, with natural ingredients... Sad

Have you try Dermalogica? I am using it for 4 weeks. They have a special products for your type of skin. I have sometimes oily, sometimes dry skin and I use their Dermalogica Active Moist which is recommended for oily skin. I can say it is very good, goes onto skin, doesn't leave oily residue. You can check their product on:

May be the problem in your diet?
Do you take any vitamins?

lately, i haven't been eating a lot because of my allergies. i had a skin testing with my doctor and it showed positive signs for a number of foods, like garlic, wheat, rice, onion, etc. so i really can't eat these foods at all. i lost 10+ lbs in just a few weeks of dieting. it's awful!

i also take multivitamins from Life Essentials. but i'm thinking about supplementing Zinc, because i hear it helps clear out acne. any thoughts?
