Did anyone use this product before? It is a soothing topical gel for scars. I would like to know when should I put the gel on my face? before or after the all facial products (cleanser, toner and moisturiser)? And should I use the gel before or after cosmetics foundation and powder? Hope you can share your experiences with me. Thank you. |

Hello Handsbella
I use Mederma for old acne and hive scars. I use it when I go to bed after my toner and face cream. I just dot it on the scars rub in a tad and let it absorb into my skin. In the morning, I put it on after my toner and face cream and before my foundation powder. Again, I let it dry before I put on the foundation. This stuff really works!. My son also uses it for his scars from "being a kid". Hope this helps |

Hi, Bergquis. Thank you very much for your information, you help me a lot, appreciate!
Would you mind to tell me how long the gel took to diminish your pimple scars?
I am very worried with my pimple scars, i feel so embarrassed and try not to go out if possible, just hide myself at home. Or, can you recommend any product that you found helpful in diminishing your pimple scars?
After I applied the gel on my face, i feel a little bit itchy, did you experienced the same?
Hope to hear you, thank you very much. Have a nice day, Bergquis. |

Hi Again Handsbella
It depends on how "deep" the scars are. I found that my hive scars were much deeper and took longer to diminsh than just the acne scars. Please DO NOT feel like you have to hide at home..that is sad and you need to enjoy the world (But I do know what you are feeling-I do the same thing if I am having a particularly bad day or skin day). Listen, try this: I apply the gel (yes a little itchy but try not to scratch). It is the gel absorbing into the skin. Once dry, I use an acne conceler to cover the scar. Dot on scar and just a brush to blend. Then whatever your foundation, again my reccomendation is TRUE powder foundation, (it really covers)dot your brush into the foundation and again on the scar. Then use your large brush for your entire face and go over your "spots" as well. I also, spot coverage during the day over my scars/pimples...Remember if you find "your" foundation color, you will virtually see your imperfections look less noticeable. Also, since I do not go to bed at night with make up on. I do use the gel and then spot treatment over them with my acne conceler (I use almay acne conceler). Then I can walk around the house, go to bed with my SO and not feel so bad about myself. I hope that helps...... |

Hi Bergquis, thank you for your reply. You are very kind to share me your secret recipes, appreciate.Thank you very much.
I seldom use foundation powder or conceler (only three times so far) because I have a sensitive skin and acne-prone. I worried the cosmetics will cause break out and it will make me more difficult to diminish my pimple scars. I think I will consider your secret recipe if I really cant face any person in the world with the pimple scars on my face.
Bergquis, actually my main target is to diminish the scars and not to conceal or hide them. My scars are small and in bright red. I feel like committing suicide, ending my 23 years of life every time I see the scars. I tried not to use the mirror as often as possible.
Until now, I am still trying whatever product that helps in diminishing the pimple scars. I would like to ask you about any product that you use to diminish your pimple scars. Hope to hear you, thank you very much.
Have a nice day, Bergquis. |
