Has anyone tried this sunscreen? I have combo/sensitive skin and don't like anything heavy on my skin. The Dr told me about it and I have a sample but not tried it yet. Use Yonka and Skin C. |

Hi Redhead
I haven't used it, but I don't know if you saw a couple of previous EDS users have reviews of it on the EDS shopping page, look here :
http://www.essentialdayspa.com/ddf-body-sun-products.htm
They were very positive about it so I looked into it. For 'non-chemical' protection the UVA rating is pretty good. If you look at the DDF website they say use the 'Boots' UVA star rating and it gets 3 out of 4.
You could PM one of these previous EDS users or if oiliness is your issue you could track their other postings and see if you can find out what skin type they have.

I tried DDF Organic suncreen last year and even though it didn't break me out, it was too greasy for my skin. Some people say they never burn with it, but after a day out in the sun with it (multiple applications too), I did get burned, so be careful!

DDF Organic left a whitecast on my face and has very poor uva protection. The active ingredients are very low and don't really see how it can be spf 30. There were a few reports of sunburn while using this particular sunscreen on MUA. |

DDF Organic Sunscreen is too weak to prevent sweat and water. So use in fall&winter better than in summer. |

Looks like there may have been a formula change recently and that EDS is carrying the newer formula, from what I see in the ingredients list. It's on my list to try. If it doesnt work for my face, I will use it up on my chest, etc. |

I tried this before. The micronized titanium are not too micronized since it left a white shade on my face. I prefer Clarin's SPF 40. |

yeahyeah, I'm thinking the one offered by EDS now is the new formula. I believe the old one had parabens or silicones (possibly both) -- due to one or more of those ingredients, I stayed away from the old formula previously. |

i'm not sure there is a new formula.
it may just be they don't list every ingredient online. |

Since EDS does not ship DDF to Canada, does anyone know where I can get a hold of this sunscreen? |

a store called BeautyMark based in Vancouver sells DDF. you can call or order online.

I don't know the answer for sure.
All I know is that the ingredients listed on the ddf website are under a link called "View Key Ingredients," not "View All Ingredients," and these are the exact same ingredients listed at EDS, and that the ingredients listed on drugstore.com lists parabens and etc. And I don't see anything like "new formulation" on the ddf or eds websites.
That's all I know.
If someone buys the item, or sees it in a store, perhaps they will see what's on the bottle/package and tell all of us. |

I've been using the DDF Matte formula for years and I like that because I have oily skin. The recently bought the Organic one and it seems lighter in terms of protection but is OK for me. But I guess it also depends on your lifestyle. I basically don't go out in the sun. I just wear sunblock just when I have to, eg. walk from the mall to the carpark, or cross the street. My friends with dry skin hated the product because apparently it left dry flaky bits on her face and made it very difficult to apply powder. (I don't wear powder so that's not an issue). |
