m i'm surprised. i believe the future's cream is super hydrating, and when my mother used it, it sank right in. so much so that i made her reapply. i guess mom has super dry skin like me. |

          | I really like their sun protection cream (60+), as its light and non greasy, but it really does a great job. I have also used their eye balm, and loved that. The literature says its been used in a study and that participants found it hydrated the eye area by some 60% per cent that came with it. |

          | I have been using the brightening and white lucent shiseido stuff recently and am wondering if I can still use retin a while I am using it. I haven't figured out the ingredients totally yet and am not sure if it would be too abrasive to use the shiseido stuff in the am and retin a in the pm. If anybody knows would be appreciated. |

I also have to write in about shiseido products...I've been using their sunscreen for about five years, only for face. because i avoid the sun like the plague..the spf 60 for face and body..it's super pricey...nearly 40 dollars inlcuding tax. It’s crazy but I use this product right after I shower and it gives me this glow. I’m Vietnamese and use to have really oily and super tan skin in my teens to early twenties. I started using this sunscreen and it totally transformed my skin. I’m light skinned now and people often times think I’m mixed with Caucasian cuz of my fair skin. Crazy right? In addition to that, I have this glow to my skin as well. I don’t know how many times I’ve been complimented on because of my skin.

I also use their Benefinance Super Restoring cream and LOVE IT! It’s gives my skin such hydration like no other skin cream and I’ve tried everything, Drug store and department store brand. I only use it over night because it is a bit heavy, but it seems like my skin just soaks it in. Im bad though cuz I don’t use it religiously. Sometimes I go for weeks without doing my nightly regime (no face washing either). I need to though because I’m getting older and preventative care is easier than trying reversal. So I’m thinking it’s got to be the applying sunscreen daily (I’m lazy so I only do it after showering). You think it might have to do with pores opening more after shower? I read that it helps with free radicals on your face so maybe that’s why too? It smells wonderful too, and not oily and absorbs so well. In fact, I never put on moisturizers either when applying make up (though I need to start). I’m 28 now and I don’t even use foundation on my face daily. I might powder my forehead and nose to give more a matte look but that’s it. And only on special occasions will I use foundation to give myself that airbrush look.

Anyways, sorry for ranting, but this has done wonders for my skin. The proof in the transformation of my skin would have to be my family. People that have just met me would think I might be lucky and have nice skin, but I had horrible skin. There was dullness to my skin tone and oily and ugly kind of tan (not the kind of tan that white people get that makes their skin look radiant) which I think made me look older. My parents and sister would still comment on how much, from time to time, an improvement the condition of my skin is now. So Ladies, if you haven’t done so already, introduce sunscreen into your life and your skin will thank you later. |

I ADORE the way the Shiseido facial sunblock makes my face feel and look. It gives it a matte finish that lasts all day and seems to almost act as a primer. BUT I have had to stop using it, because I found out that it only has a UVA of 8. That is really puny compared to the UVB of 55. I have resorted to trying out Bioderma and La Roche sunscreens from Europe with a UVA of 28 (it's called PPD over there), but they never make my face look the way Shiseido's sunscreen does . I wish the FDA would finally approve some sort of UVA rating for the US, so that companies here are forced to up their UVA rating in order to be competitive. Then maybe Shiseido will improve their formula and I can purchase it again. There's hoping |
