Bushy thanks for your reply. Would you still use M Lab if you could get it reasonably? and which Valmont products do you find most effective and affordable? Sorry about your Australian dollar; it can sure add up when it is not in one's favour.
Do you ever use any of the Japanese products? I imagine some of them are very good and it is a lot closer to you. I'd love to try Sofina ss but it is not available in Canada. Harriet |
Having tried the Valmont L'Elixir Eye Cream again, it is definitely my preference over MLab but it always comes back to price and availability. When it comes to actual preference, I think that L'Elixir results are worth the money but although there are good results with MLab, for the results it does give, it is overpriced. My favourite Valmont products are all things L'Elixir, DNA Repair, Nature Cleansing with a Gel, Biological Scrub, Exfoliator, Bio Cellular, Bio Regenetic, DNA Intensive Shield SPF30 and DNA Essential Protection SPF15.
I have never used any Japanese products and never really had a desire to because their skins are so different to ours in Australia that I did not think they would suit. |

Hey Bushy
Where did you pick up the new renamed Valmont eye cream, I dont think EDS has it in yet?
Also which Australian brand have you been testing?
Sorry for all the questions but thanks |
Will send you a pm re the new Australian products as I intend to do a review but don't want it mixed up in this thread. |

Harriet, there are a few other Valmont products that I love which I forgot to mention.
All the hair products are wonderful, Lip Repair, Intensive Chrono Cellular Treatment, the AWF products and the Adaptation products. Actually, when I think about it, the only ones I wouldn't use are those specifically for dry skin as I still have skin that is a bit oily. |

Hi,
if it is not avail in Canada,
can you contact the company that makes the product and find out if they will sell it to you?
or maybe even send you samples?
I know a few months ago I wanted some Mavala nail polishes, and they are sold in Canada..but the shades I wanted are not the "north america" ones as it is always the same 30 shades here,
but in Europe they have the special edition shades...and i happen to see them online and they were not like what you can get here...
So I emailed Mavala and they gave me the list of authorized places that sells by mail.
none of those had the sets I was looking for so Mavala told me they also do mail order (but fromengland office) and I was able to get my items
sucky exchange rate though.
sry this is kind of long...
but just trying to say unless it is illegal to sell or use in Canada, you should be able to get your hands on it |

bushy. thanks a lot for the list.
I have an EDS $50 voucher and with the discount and paying less tax than if I purchased in my own province it is better. Actually except for the L'Elixir line it is similar to the higher end Shiseido I am using (combined with some mid range products)which actually works well.
I thought of trying the AWF III cream to help with sagging skin. Do any of the products work well for clearing pores? (maybe I should start a new thread on Valmont ?s). Sounds like Valmont is your HG!! The Elixir products are pricey but if one just has to use one cream and one serum that is fewer products. Maybe as an infusion of actives once a year?
I found the Valmont website, Valmont.ch by reading a thread on EDS and took their skin care questionnaire, helpful. EDS does not have the new L'Elixir eye cream yet.
Keep us posted I always find your reviews and product selections helpful even though I think my skin is drier or more dehydrated than yours.

You're welcome. You could definitely do that. I think you will get a ton of answers, as everyone reacts uniquely to the sunscreens and it really just comes down to trial and error for your own skin! |
