| I wanted to like this more than UDPP, because in the winter UDPP is too drying on my lids. At first I thought Too Faced would win, but for me, it leaves a slight eyeshadow crease after about 8 hours. UDPP NEVER gives me a crease, even after double that time frame! So, while Too Faced is more moisturizing, UDPP is better as far as creasing goes. Essentially, that's what primer is for. UDPP for me, until something better hops along! |

I received the TFSI from EDS yesterday and tried it this morning. It makes the eyeshadow last much longer and the color look richer. I do love it!
Thanks, EDS!!! |
Mine came yesterday and FINALLY - my shadow didn't crease and my liner stayed in place. I hardly wear eye makeup but when I do - I don't want it creased all over the place.
THRILLED to have found such a product and I credit EDS and reviewers!!

how does too faced compare to the nars primer?
I never thought of purchasing an eye shadow primer before reading this thread as I assumed that it is just a gimmick. Definitely interested in giving it a try now. |

this is definitely true....
from my own experience, I think Too faced shadow insurance is nicer for people with dry or neutral skin type of their eyelids... for those with oily eye lids, urban decay is doing better, especially the shade EDEN--strong ability to hold your eyeshadow in place all day long~~ |

| Am I the only one who does not care for Benefit's products. They have cute names and cute packaging but I've tried several over the years and have always been disappointed. |

I totally agree, Shandy, but this particular product is actually by a brand called TooFaced. I think the name "Shadow Insurance" is super-similar to the comparable (and inferior) Benefit product tho. |

I don't care for some of their products yet some work really well for me, for a shadow primer I love their lemonade, my lids are naturally oily and this keeps my shadow in place all day. I also use it without shadow for a less made up look. |

| I just received a sample tube of the Too Faced Shadow Insurance along with sample compact of Too Faced 8 eyeshadows from Sephora. I am going to give it a try. I currently use Benefit Stay Don't Stray which works pretty good, but always up for trying something new! |

I've also tried many Benefit products and have usually been disappointed but I do like Lemon Aid - really brightens the eye area, and Erase Paste - pretty good concealer. |

I have a silly question,
Is UDPP and the Too Faced- are those just eyeshadow primers or eye primers?
by eyeshadow primer I mean is it just for the upper eyelid?
Right now I am using Mavala eye base and they call that eye primer and you put it on like an eye cream and it keeps your makeup and concealer on.
I like that one because it is moisturizing and clear with no sparkles in it.
-price is good too around $12 for 10ml.
From looking around for eye/eye makeup primers I also think that Smashbox has the worst price.
the full size of their eye primer is 2.5ml and that is around $25 here.
I didn't like the Smashbox one from testing in the store, their primer has a kind of beige tint. |

| I can't say about the UDPP as I have not use it.I have used TooFace and have used it under the eye at times, just a very little. On the directions it does not say to use it there, just upper lids.I do really like the Too Face Shadow,it keep everything in place even liner. |

| I don't really use primers because I rarely wear eye-shadow. But I do have both urban decay and too-faced primers, and I can't tell a difference between the two. They are both amazing, and packaged almost exactly the same! |

i have used both UDPP and Two Faced Eye Shadow Insurance. I definitely think UDPP is the superior product if you have oily skin around the eyes. i find the the two faced more moisturizing so eye shadow does crease sooner for me.
My first tube of two faced separated when i opened it, i took it back to exchange for a new tube and the same thing happened a month later. I ended up giving this to a friend with drier skin, she should have better luck. |

primers are new to me so I bought a few to try. Here is what I found.
Benefit Lemon aid did nothing for me. I tried it based on a rec here and it does not function well as a primer - very disappointing for that. Maybe it works for some as a base look to even out tone but I found it underwhelming.
I use UDPP on my oily lids - EDEN and plain and like them both. Still, I am in the trial mode...and am contemplating my next primer, am thinking about the too-faced primer but it seems so many recommend for dry lids. Any oily lids here to give an opinion. |

| My lids are actually quite oily and Benefit's Lemon aid works wonders on my lids both with and without shadow as well as keeping liner in place. In Florida's heat and humidity that is quite a feat! |

sister--i would not recommmend two faced for you. if you don't repurchase UDPP, try NYX HD eye shadow base. It cost $7 and works almost as well as UDPP. I just purchased it off ebay as it came highly recommended. i really like it and don't think i will continue to purchase UDPP : http://www.nyxcosmetics.com/products/eyes/eye-shadow-base/hd-eye-shadow-base |

Thank you for that recommendation. I got the UDPP as part of the deal when I ordered UD Naked palette which I love, love, love. I'm happy to try a reasonable substitute for oily lids.
I do not know anything about the product line but I've heard Mary Kay has a good eye primer! |
